About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Need to Space out Tee times
Played the course plenty of times over the last few years. Layout is awesome and course is typically in good shape, never in poor shape. Good value for sure, but…..
Pace of play gotten out of control. I’ve never had a fast round out here. But it’s gotten bad, real bad. Standing on 12 tee, 3.5 hours into the round. Couldn’t take it anymore. Drove the remaining holes back to the clubhouse. There were 2+ groups on every hole in front of us. Not an exaggeration. Would have been a 6 hour round if we stuck it out. Didn’t look like anyone was particularly playing slow, there was simply too many people out there.
The parking lot had so many cars, there were 10-20 cars parking in the grass or making their own spots. Never seen it like this. Hopefully they can figure it out, because the course itself is a fun track. Know a handful of others who have experienced similar issues.
Slow pace
Loved the course and thought it was extremely cool. We had a 4:24 tee time though and were only able to get through the front 9 because the pace of play was so painfully long. it took us 3 hours to get through the front 9 and decided it was not worth our time to play the back. either need less tee times or stricter pace of play rules. I would love to play it again if it werent so slow but if it is slow it is not worth the time or money

5 hours and 30 minutes pace of play!
Inexcusable and unacceptable course experience. I have been playing regularly at Teravista for the past month. The past 2 weeks have been HORRIBLE. Ive heard about reputation the Magnolia management company has about over booking the course but I've finally experienced it first hand. I do want to say that the on-site staff has always been extremely friendly and responsive, but unfortunately they get put in a 'no-win' situation thanks to Magnolia.
Over the past 2 weeks I have experienced:
1. No parking availability. People have had to park in handicapped spots, in fronts of the dumpsters, on the grass, in the parking median, next to curbs, etc.
2. No cart availability. We have had to wait till right before our tee time to get carts.
3. 5 to 10 minute wait times at each hole.
4. Over 5 hours and 30 minutes pace of play.
5. No marshalls on the course controlling pace of play.
6. Empty water coolers which makes the pace of play even worse.
7. Rude golfers. Everyone goes out to have fun, but after waiting, everyone loses their patience and the experience is not fun.
I will say that it is apparent the on-site staff do all they can with what they are provided. The pro-shop, Cafe, and beverage cart staff are all friendly and actively do what they can, but their hands are tied when the management company greedily overbooks a course.
Playing at this course was the first time I can genuinely say I did not have fun playing golf.
Great course
Pace of play was a little slow but course was in great shape, given the recent rains. Bunkers were not great but again, that was due to the rains. I will play here again.

Course is in great shape!
Played in a foursome today and we were able to finish in 4 and a half hours. This heat just drains you and makes it challenging to play. There is water throughout the course and we saw the beverage/snack cart 3x. Overall the course is in really good shape. Bunkers are better than I remember from a couple of years ago.
All staff we encountered from the guys at check-in, starter and the marshall, and the beverage cart girl were happy and friendly.
We will definitely play again!

Great course
This was our 1st time playing this course. I've had ALOT about pace of play from this course, Falconhead, and Avery Ranch. We had a Sunday afternoon tee time and we played it in 4.5 hours. We only had to wait a couple times for the group to finish the hole. The course is beautiful. Almost every fairway is lined with homes and you will have to do a lot of riding in your golf cart. I would not recommend walking this. The greens were in good shape and there was minor perimeter work being done on a few holes. The fairways are probably the best I've played on in Austin. They were almost all green and there was no dead spots where the grass had completely burned and died. The clubhouse staff was friendly. There was no starter, but the beverage cart and a Marshall were seen several times throughout the round.
My 2 gripes: 1, holes 1 and 18 line the driving range. Use a non-white colored ball or you will have a lot of trouble finding the ball you hit. Additionally, be watchful of stray balls from the range. 2, we played in the afternoon and almost every water cooler on the back 9 was empty. That reason is why this is not a 5 star review. Be wary and have a spare bottle handy just in case.

Course was in great shape and the Marshall sped up the slow group ahead of us.
Some greens just needed people to fix their hall marks but other than that it was a a nice course. Would definitely play again.
