About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Not the same course
Terra Vista was my home course a couple of years ago. I generally played there once a week on average. I took a break from playing and went I returned I was very disappointed in the overall conditions. Tee boxes needed to be moved, fairways need to be seeded, literally no grass in a lot of areas. The staff was OK. The lady working the restaurant was very friendly and outgoing. The pace of play was pretty slow as well.

Slow AF do not play here on the weekends
This was the slowest round of golf in the 15years I have been playing. 3 hours to get through nine holes. The staff in the pro shop would do nothing to credit not being able to play the second nine. They admitted to pushing out 310 golfers in a day and they are doing the best they can. I will never play here again.

FUN COURSE ....SLOW WEEKEND PLAY
I enjoyed the round of golf even though the play was slow and we had 20mph consistent winds and gust up to 30mph.

Good Course - Lethal pace of play
I really do like the course itself, and the course conditions are as good as I’ve seen them be at Teravista, but the pace of play is awful. Started at 3 yesterday and only got through 16 before we gave up due to light.
Yesterday was especially bad, but the tee sheet is often overstuffed.
Would’ve helped at least a little bit if rangers were around to push the pace or let us know what to expect.
I won’t be back until I hear from others that the 6 hour rounds have been fixed.

Good course
Greens in good condition. Course in good condition overall. Pace of play better during the week than on weekends.

Worst pace of play at any course in Austin. A good 6 hour round. Don’t play on the weekends.

Not worth the money
Front 9 conditions are poor. No protection on the first tee from the range, golf cart was hit.

Long round
Played Fri afternoon starting at 2 and stopped after 9 as it was packed and close to 3 hrs. Enjoyed the front other than the pace.

Nope never again
Had a tee time for 3:44. Paired up with 3 players. One gentleman could not tee his own ball up due to age (that’s perfectly ok but it co tributes to the delay) and one lady hit 3 balls out of bounds and proceeded to walk back to her bag every time to dig for a ball. I made the decision to bow out since there were 7 carts on #1 waiting for us. It took 10 minutes for our group to tee off.
I inquired about a rain check and was informed that’s the chance I take when grouped with randoms. They gave me half back but there is ZERO chance our group or anyone behind us will get 18 yet the course took our money for 18. Also the driving range was closed so even less value to this place.
Poor customer service due to a lack of customer empathy….won’t be coming back here.

False advertising
Booked a round which included the cart. Guy in the pro shop said it’d be and extra $20 for a cart even after showing my reservation to him.

Slow play

Man how Course Management Times have changed.
About 10 years back my backyard was right on the Par 3 Number 7. My view of the course year round was awesome. After living in that home for 5 years I moved away. I came back to play the course yesterday 3/16/2022 with my son. After talking up the course to him and how awesome it is compared to the courses he plays in STX he was ready to see what I used to see. MAN WAS HE AND I DISAPPOINTED. There was literally nothing green between T-Box to the Green. The fairways have been cut so short it might as well be hard panned dirt. The greens had just been aeriated which was not bad at all. Why they are cutting the fairways to less than 1/8" is beyond me. It's sad, because when Troon was managing the course it was green tip to tip. I hate to ending a round where I say the course conditions beat me rather than I beat myself for shooting a poor round. Definitely will not waste $130 for 2 people to play. Not to mention after paying those rates I still had to pay for range balls. Star Ranch right down the way is in so much better shape.
