About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Slow play kills another round
Made it through 9 holes in 2.5 hours with the back-side typically playing even longer. Last round I played in April took 6 hours. Just ridiculous. Didn't see a marshal in either round. Aim for 4 hour rounds and fall short at 4.5 hours. Don't "aim" for 4.5 hours and then do nothing to enforce it. Slow play kills.

Ridiculous pace of play
My buddy and I have played Teravista several times in the past year. Pace is always a little slow, but it took us 3 hours and 15 minutes to play the front nine. Six plus hours for a round of golf sucks!!! Two groups ahead of us were hitting from the blues but were lousy, slow golfers
We picked up at nine and complained to the pro staff, but they don't have any authority. I emailed Mr. Ben Carson and explained our disappointment and requested a nine hole credit next time. To this date, Mr. Carson has not even responded. We will not play here again. This is the poorest run course in the Austin area.

Weekend Golf is Bad
All the years playing never had it this bad. One hour to play two holes. Walked off. Came back two weeks later during the week. Five hours to play 18. Spoke to other golfers different courses they knew the reputation of this course. Everyone told me the same thing. Slow play they blamed on the owners. The course is nice. The staff were in a difficult position. Nice place to have a beer and a hamburger.

Not the same course
Terra Vista was my home course a couple of years ago. I generally played there once a week on average. I took a break from playing and went I returned I was very disappointed in the overall conditions. Tee boxes needed to be moved, fairways need to be seeded, literally no grass in a lot of areas. The staff was OK. The lady working the restaurant was very friendly and outgoing. The pace of play was pretty slow as well.

Slow AF do not play here on the weekends
This was the slowest round of golf in the 15years I have been playing. 3 hours to get through nine holes. The staff in the pro shop would do nothing to credit not being able to play the second nine. They admitted to pushing out 310 golfers in a day and they are doing the best they can. I will never play here again.

FUN COURSE ....SLOW WEEKEND PLAY
I enjoyed the round of golf even though the play was slow and we had 20mph consistent winds and gust up to 30mph.

Good Course - Lethal pace of play
I really do like the course itself, and the course conditions are as good as I’ve seen them be at Teravista, but the pace of play is awful. Started at 3 yesterday and only got through 16 before we gave up due to light.
Yesterday was especially bad, but the tee sheet is often overstuffed.
Would’ve helped at least a little bit if rangers were around to push the pace or let us know what to expect.
I won’t be back until I hear from others that the 6 hour rounds have been fixed.

Good course
Greens in good condition. Course in good condition overall. Pace of play better during the week than on weekends.
