About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Crazy Stacked tee times. Took 5hrs to play 16 holes because of stacked tee times. Didn’t even get to finish due to darkness. DONT GO ON WEEKENDS. Good weekday spot
Good but slow
The course was in great shape. However, the play was frustratingly slow — 1 hour behind pace. Only made it through 15 holes before dark, having started at 1:30p. No marshal holding folks accountable to pace. Just really ruins the experience. Not worth the money.

Rate of play
Overall it was a very enjoyable day on the course. Although if I had to make any comment it would be about the slower than normal play of a group 3 ahead of my group. Marshall mentioned the slow group was actually members, people who usually complaint about others.

Beautiful course. Well maintained. Very spread out as no hole abuts any other. Maybe it a Texas or a covid thing, but there were no ball cleaning stations at the tee boxes. The only thing that kept this from being a perfect outing was the slow, slow group in front of us. I will DEFINITELY play here again!

Slow Pace of Play
We teed off at 1:04pm and didn’t finish our round till 6pm. One of the marshals came around on the back 9 to tell us to pick up our pace when we were waiting for 2 groups directly in front of us. Seemed pretty silly to me. Other than that, course is still looking good for now and had a good time.

Teravista 11/7/21
Course is in good condition, greens are respectable and fairly consistent. Putting green is nice size and great condition. Pace of play is going from bad to worse. I thought with an 8am tee time, we’d roll around in 4 hours easy.. ended up at 4-3/4 hours. They either need to spread tee time out another 2 mins each or have the rangers actually monitor pace of play vs driving around in golf carts and watching golf. Overall I give it 4 stars. Biggest gripe is pace of play. That goes for Avery Ranch & Falconhead too. (Sister courses).

Slow Play
Extremely slow play. Our round was 5 hours long. The marshal is non-existent. Definitely need someone to monitor and sped up that play. 5 hours is unacceptable.

Teravista Played To It’s Reputation
Great course that played to its reputation. Challenging holes that tested every club in the bag. Greens played fast but fair. Great course.

Immaculate October Golfn ⛳️
Even with the wind howling and the course jam packed, we had a glorious day overall. Teravista is all great from the staff to the condition to the layout. Might’ve been a bit faster but we teed off at 11:20 and finished at 3:35, so just a bit over 4 hours. One things for sure, you’ll get no disappointments at Teravista, it’s very consistent in the conditioning and a fun round.

Players need to show course treatment
Over the course of the round. Multiple times I treated fairway divots, racked sand traps, repaired divots on greens. It is very apparent players these days don’t care how they leave a course. I understand Teravista isn’t private so people coming here are from all over. But man I almost want to volunteer and Marshall and instruct novice to professionals that don’t repair marks on the course. It’s plain course etiquette. Treat it well, it will come back two fold. Nicer course to play and less work the Superintendent and staff have to waste man hours on instead of more important tasks. The course is well maintained even with fairway and green divots. To close. Whomever, took a swath out of the 10th green the size of a professional fairway divot. Give up Golf. If you can’t hold your temper and think it’s ok to destroy the course; go to the gym, fish, take up finger painting. Sell your sticks so the rest of us don’t have to move our shot out of the way of your idiocies.
