Teravista Golf Club

I have played this coarse many times. I enjoy the layout and they have average coarse conditions. My problem is with the coarse management. They try and book so many tee times. You end up playing 5 and 6 hour rounds. You never get in a twilight round. To get a full round in you need to start at 1 pm. It might be better in the Am but I didn’t see the value at $100 a round. Drive out east and play Forrest creek or star ranch!! Or head to their sister coarse Avery ranch. I’ve had a lot better experiences playing at that coarse recently. Here are a couple pics of Forrest creek!! Try them out instead.!!! Unless you enjoy waiting 5-15 min at every tee box.

When we got there I heard this group of old codgers on the practice tee talking smack and I just knew by watching them we were a bit unlucky playing behind them. All “members” which it’s not even a country club but they’re the guys who think the whole course is for them. We played behind them as a threesome, and tried desperately to not play upon them but to pace, and it did no good, because we had groups behind us. It’s odd to me to see players take 2 practice swings on every shot, because when you shoot 100, thats 400 swings, and a nightmare for everyone on the course but you. I don’t get it. I don’t understand how ppl can be 2 holes behind and be taking 3-4 practice swings. It’s akin to having teeth pulled with no numbing. Then they finish and spend 5 minutes and on the green telling each other how awesome each other is, when nobody in the group playing from blue tees broke 90. The course is great, the staff is AWESOME, and it’s hard to complain but it’s just not any fun going out that time of day to watch 3 practice swings and guys putting out for an 8.

We played a day after a huge rain. It was cart path only. The course drained well and it was very nice. Amanda took great care of us on the course and behind the bar in the clubhouse. Highly recommend!

We had a great time playing. The course has its challenges and carries off the tee. But that's what makes it fun. Who wants to play a boring course? Conditions were excellent, Greens were receptive to approach shots and putts rolled excellently. Practice area had plenty of room and even had some covered stalls with shot tracking computers! Too Cool!!! The beverage cart showed up every 3rd or 4 hole with swing lube readily available. Who could ask for more?

I booked for myself but they made me to share cart with stranger, and when I refused they made me to pay for my cart. That is not fair as when I booked it said cart included but not saying I have to share with stranger. If they made customers to share cart, they must not allow booking single.

The guy at the checking counter has terrible personality and with that kind of personality you should not work at the counter and deal with customers!! Won’t come back to this court again!

Full Disclosure: I have a Players Card at this course and am mildly biased by it.

However, the course is in great. The design is great. But the “members”, you know, the ones who think they’re at Pine Valley? Yeah, they were 2 full holes. behind the group in front of them snd. they finished. We know this because I had a 4:45 appointment, and we had to quit after 15 holes to get in after teeing off at 11:07. When you have to wait on every ahot because this group of old hacks trying to play from the blue tees can’t vesak 90 from the reds, it’s no fun. It’s sad. These entitles **** need help on manners.

Slowest course I've ever played. The owners set tee times every 8 minutes. Get ready for a six hour round with no marshal.

Lack of course marshal. It took 4 hrs. 45 min. to play 18 holes. Our foursome waited every hole & almost every shot. Two golfers were ahead of us & 3 golfers ahead of them. We were told a five-some ahead was ahead of them slowing the play.

8 minute gaps between groups, they stack the course as full as possible on the weekends. Makes for excruciating pace of play.

So I paid for a round and a cart, no cart was available and the pro shop wanted me to hunt down a stranger to join him or I could pay for a separate cart? I told him I have already paid for a cart but was "policy" to join a stranger during the pandemic (Delta and in Texas) which is the unsafest thing to do ever!

I assumed they had common sense but it's Texas and people don't care at all.

So if you value safe play stay away or pay extra for a cart that you already paid for.

I left after nine holes once the guy told me he was a anti vaxxer.

Not going back until after the pandemic that may never end, but still not going back.

Definitely one of nicest courses around! Like playing on carpet. Highly recommend.

Many greens are under repair & this course is not worth the $80 we paid. Go play Star Ranch or Avery Ranch. Will not be coming here again.
