About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Best course conditions ever
The rains in Texas for June and July have made Teravista green and lush. Only #12 green was affected by the February freeze and is being repaired gradually. However, all the other greens are in great shape. I’ve played here over 20 times in the past 10 years and can attest that the fairways are soft and gorgeous! The greens are soft and easily produce divots. Definitely the best conditions of any public course in the Austin area.

Round Rock gem
The course was in great shape, friendly staff and always willing to help. A couple of tee boxes need some help but overall a great experience.

Really far too expensive for what you get...
I was really disappointed in the course conditions today, the greens were bumpy and for some reason appear to still have the winter overseed in them, the bunkers were horrible, and the pace of play was lousy (5 hr round).
I don't plan on returning for some time, if ever.

Best greens in Austin
Only downside is bunkers still not in great shape. They have not been taken care of. The greens are so fast and pure.

Bunkers are in terrible condition due to weather
All grass areas are very nice, but several bunkers are in unplayable condition. Long term standing water and erosion in bunkers is evident. This is fixable, but when? Overall, a nice course, but until the bunkers are returned to playing condition, I will not recommend to others.
