About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Slowest round ever
Took 5.5 hrs to play 16 holes. They had poor tee time management and packed so many people into the course to maximize their money that the experience was simply terrible. I won’t be coming back here ever.

Always a good time!
We were happy to get on the course as the temps were in the high 70's, great for February after the freeze! The course played well, my buddy and I were paired with another group of 2 who were friendly. We enjoyed the day and all cheered each other on. My buddy had 5 birdies so he was quite happy. No birdies for me but several pars. (quite satisfying for a bogey golfer) The course was in great winter shape. No complaints. Pace was a bit slow, expected because the course was jammed with players. Finished as the sun was going down.

Pace of Play is always an issue
Once again, course was in pretty good shape. But the issue is always the pace of play. My group played 15 holes in 4 hours yesterday and multiple times there were 3 groups on one hole and another waiting behind the group teeing off. They have a marshal but all he does is drive by and wave, never asking anyone to speed up. They also stack groups 8 minutes apart and expect everyone to play the hole in 12 minutes. Save yourself the time (literally) and play somewhere else that enforces pace of play

Challenging yet fair.
Fairways were in great shape for winter. Mostly dormant turf with no bald spots.. The greens rolled putts nicely. It was a little hard to judge the speed at first, but they were consistent; The course is fun. Like any course, scores will improve as you get to know it better. My buddy had 5 birdies so her definitely liked the links.
