About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Mistake with reservation
I inputted wrong date of Jan. 6 on the Golfnow app.
Wanted to play on Jan.5 and thought I booked it that way. Arrived at the course and they did not have my reservation then it was found as being on Jan.6, fortunately they were able to find me a spot for $57 after I had booked a tee time for around $40, so I was double charged, the man at the pro shop (Jamie) told me to call golf now and ask to have the charge removed from my credit card for $40 since I paid the $57 for the tee time. Unfortunately I end up paying two tee times one on the 5th and another on the 6th when I could only play on the 5th, but I was unable to contact someone at golfnow, if anything can be done to refund the tee time on the 6th it would be greatly appreciated, Jamie at the pro shop he would indicate to a representative of golfnow that was the case.

Nice course.
Somewhat difficult course in spots but very fair. You have to think your way around the course to stay out of trouble. Overall great value and nice experience. Definitely recommend snd will be back

Some Holes Better than Others
Nice course and friendly club house staff, driving range nicer than most. Did however experience several frustrations. Some holes had loud distracting homeowners outside intentionally harassing players. Majority of sand traps were also full of water and not drained properly. Club house and the Marshall also specifically clearly stated it was cart path only, however after 1st hole players drove and roamed wherever they pleased not staying on the cart path as there was no Marshall enforcing the stated rule. Was also several balls on 18th hole, several players including me could not find their ball and was like an Easter Egg hunt since there were so many balls coming from the driving range, Should really have nets to block balls and keep them from getting to the 18th hole from the driving range or else have someone clean it off and keep them picked up and off the 18th hole.

Great Course, Poor Pace of Play
Course is in good shape for December. I know it was the Sunday of a holiday weekend, but 4:45 should never happen if marshals are keeping things moving.

This course needs help
Management does not care about members. Spending money on games & letting course crater. Traps are terrible. Tee boxes unlevel. Maintenance going down. GM not friendly and tells players to go elsewhere if you don’t like it.

Terrible condition
Over booked, over played not maintained. Over watered soggy around greens, no grass in fairways.

Irresponsible Time Management
Saturday tee time at 12:40. Get to the tee box 5 minutes early, 2 other groups are in carts waiting while a third is just teeing off.
A full hour after our tee time, we had yet to tee off on the third hole. Long rounds on Saturday are normal, but that is well past unacceptable. I left - while riding thru to the turn, I saw the situation is the same for every hole. They're booking tee times 8 minutes apart and they cannot manage it.

Nice place to play in Round Rock
I had the opportunity to do a Hot Deals at Teravista on Dec 9. The weather was perfect and I got to meet 3 other nice golfers. I like the course layout, and challenge. The only complaint was that the fairways were cut pretty short and were bare in a few places. But it didn't affect my game. I managed to shoot my best round of the year and had 2 birdies. The greens were excellent.

Pace of play issue
If you like playing golf in 6 hours then this is the place for you!
