Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

My review
Had a good time..I know it’s COVID concerns but wish there were ice buckets to keep water and Gatorade cool it’s 112 degrees here in Texas and heat related illnesses is a concern. Staff were very professional and courteous as always..I like coming here while visiting my family when I come into town.
Difficult as can be
Played the worst round I’ve played in 10 years because of this course but loved it all the same. Fantastic conditions. If you’re not going to hit it straight you’re going to hit a lot of houses. My total was 4. Please don’t try to beat that!
Good deal. Great course
The course is in great condition most times you play it. Easy for someone to have some fun and not lose too many balls but can also tax someone trying to go for low scores.
Slow slow and slooooooower
Don’t bother. Nice course but no marshalls and nobody seems to care about pace of play. If you enjoy a 5 hour round, this is the place for you.
Horrible customer service, horrible pace, garbage conditions.
For a $75 round, I expect a few things- number one, don’t be a jerk when I check in... don’t tell me to leave and come back closer to my tee time- some people who take the game seriously like to spend a few hours warming up, and having a meal before teeing off.
Second... the pace of play is grindingly slow, because the tee times are spaced too closely. Then, a Marshall comes up and demands that you commit gross negligence and hit up into the group ahead of you on the green... with a lady, and a junior golfer, the group played from 3 different tees- it’s going to take them a few moments longer than 4 guys playing the same tee.
And finally, I get that it’s summer, but for crying out loud, put some water on the gosh darn grass... the ground is like concrete, and the turf is dry and dead.
I’ll never be back. This was 6 hours of my life that I’ll never get back.
Much IMproved conditions and friendly staff
Course condition improved significantly from previous years, excellent green and fairway conditions. Pace of play is on the slower side on Saturday and could be nice if Marshall can remind the group to practice ready golf
First time playing this course and I had a terrible experience.. Sending groups out every 8 minutes is just not enough time. The pace of play was very slow. I called it quits after the front 9 which took almost 4 hours.
Fun course and very friendly staff
I live in Teravista community so play here alot and staff is very friendly and great to customers. Course is maintained well and is challenging from the blue tees. Only draw back is sometimes pace of play can be very slow on the back nine here . Favorite hole is #16 long par 5 with a little creek running across the fairway. #12 is also a great hole with a narrow fairway with water on the left and sand on the right.
Awfully Slow
Our tee time was 2:48
We tee off after 3
We are waiting at #3 tee box.
Group in front still has not tee off yet
We have only played 2 holes and its nearly 4 o'clock.
1 hour after our tee time and we've only played 2 holes.
I understand it's slow on weekends
But this is pitiful
Pace of play is getting worse
I have played this course 20+ times and is always in good shape/ well maintained. However the last several rounds I had to skip the last 5 plus holes due to the terribly slow pace of play.
I am not sure if they have added more tee times, or they consciously pulled the starter from making rounds for COVID but regardless things are crawling at Teravista.
Slow pace
Loved the course just was disappointed in the pace of play. We waited an average 7+ minutes on each tee box. Also a lot of people skipped holes behind us and jammed it up on the back 9. No course Marshall to improve speed. Loved the greens and course but couldn’t ever play at a steady pace.
This course offers a great experience.
The course is very well managed and has some challenging holes. I am new to the area and every time I go in as a single, I’ve been paired with very friendly and fun groups.
