Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Slow but Expected
The experienced players that play w new players need to speed up the pace or let people play thru. We didn’t finish because of very slow play. Not the courses fault, just makes for a way less fun experience.
Great day for golf
Arrived eArly. Staff very friendly. Course in great condition. A fair test of golf. Would recommend to anyone. Would definitely play again.
Slow
Great course / layout, jammed the tee sheet so round took 5 hours.
I wanted to like this course...
I’ll just lay this review out in the order of my experience:
1- During check in, the staff was fine but there were no golf carts available. We weren’t too far out from our tee time (~35 minutes) so I was surprised we couldn’t get a cart until right before starting.
2- The starter was a nice guy and got us out on time.
3- During play we encountered several fairways that felt like very hard clay-like ground. This made it difficult to get under the ball.
4- The pace of play was the worst I’ve ever encountered. There was no Marshall floating around to ensure the pace of play kept up. The group in front of us even called the clubhouse since the group ahead of them were just taking picture and shots at almost every hole. In total, it took us close to six hours to complete 18 holes.
5- Loaded up the car and returned the cart
Overall, I wasn’t impressed with this course and I will actively avoid playing at Teravista in the future. I would not recommend this course to a friend.
Great day with boys
The green were a little slow, but the beers were perfect..
My review
Had a good time..I know it’s COVID concerns but wish there were ice buckets to keep water and Gatorade cool it’s 112 degrees here in Texas and heat related illnesses is a concern. Staff were very professional and courteous as always..I like coming here while visiting my family when I come into town.
Difficult as can be
Played the worst round I’ve played in 10 years because of this course but loved it all the same. Fantastic conditions. If you’re not going to hit it straight you’re going to hit a lot of houses. My total was 4. Please don’t try to beat that!
Good deal. Great course
The course is in great condition most times you play it. Easy for someone to have some fun and not lose too many balls but can also tax someone trying to go for low scores.
Slow slow and slooooooower
Don’t bother. Nice course but no marshalls and nobody seems to care about pace of play. If you enjoy a 5 hour round, this is the place for you.
Horrible customer service, horrible pace, garbage conditions.
For a $75 round, I expect a few things- number one, don’t be a jerk when I check in... don’t tell me to leave and come back closer to my tee time- some people who take the game seriously like to spend a few hours warming up, and having a meal before teeing off.
Second... the pace of play is grindingly slow, because the tee times are spaced too closely. Then, a Marshall comes up and demands that you commit gross negligence and hit up into the group ahead of you on the green... with a lady, and a junior golfer, the group played from 3 different tees- it’s going to take them a few moments longer than 4 guys playing the same tee.
And finally, I get that it’s summer, but for crying out loud, put some water on the gosh darn grass... the ground is like concrete, and the turf is dry and dead.
I’ll never be back. This was 6 hours of my life that I’ll never get back.
Much IMproved conditions and friendly staff
Course condition improved significantly from previous years, excellent green and fairway conditions. Pace of play is on the slower side on Saturday and could be nice if Marshall can remind the group to practice ready golf
