Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

6 hours. Yes that’s correct. 6 hours
No, probably never again. It took us 6 hours to play a round. Yes, you are reading this right, 6 hours. No buckets for range balls (which were $15 for a large). Had to bug the guy several times to get the machine to work and for buckets. Oh and every hole is lined with houses. Back to back houses.
Great, well maintained course
This course is extremely well taken care of and the right amount of trouble/reward. The greens are in excellent shape and the fairways are near perfect. The only minor complaint i would say is that on holes 1 and 18 there are range balls spread out all over the place and if you don't hit the ball perfectly you may lose your ball in the masses of practice balls from errant shots off the range. Please put up some netting at the range to reduce the amount of balls on those two holes, other than that the course is outstanding.
Excellent condition!
Great place to play. The course is just beautiful right now! Go enjoy it and fix the green!
Lots of water but lots of fun
We teed off at 3:20 pm with two older gentleman. The course is a lot fun and challenges you to hit all the shots in your bag. Par 3s from the blues are sometimes close to 200 yards out which is a great change of pace ( I am getting tired of par 3s around Austin being a pitching wedge or 9 iron yardage). All in all I had a great time and the course was in fantastic shape. Well done Magnolia Management.
Slow play....but a great round
Very busy....so the round was 4 hours
But it's a great course
In good condition.
Enjoyed
Staffs are very nice and helpful.
Course is nice , greens were Aerated . This place have some serious wind.
Bottom line it’s nice place to play .
Fun Day at a Nice Course
The course did an excellent job of maintaining good coronavirus discipline. Staff members were helpful and friendly. Play started on time and pace of play was excellent. The course was well maintained, and fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Weather was great and a good time was had by all.
Super slow
Super slow play do 5 some. Staff members said they were ok because they were members. I have never played a course allowing 5 players
Will never play a course this managment runs.
not user friendly
I recognize that we're having a pandemic, but there's no reason for the course to not put WATER on the course, at all - no where!!! and, as if taking advantage of a less than ideal situation, they charged $12.50 for a bucket of balls -
that's about double the going rate.
I won't be playing there again.
All around great track
I love this course! Challenging but fair, always in good shape.
Moment of peace
Course was in great shape, gratitude for being open, having clean carts and taking extra measures so we can golf in a safe environment and practice social distancing. Advising golfers where the hole was ----back front middle----since no flags was helpful and usually spot-on.
Deviation from Coronavirus
Very good day with the course in great shape and the pace of play even better. Only negative was my tee time before 10:00 and range didn’t open until 10:00. More time on the putting and chipping area so guess it wasn’t that big a negative!
Jack
Outstanding greens, and course layout. Several holes were cart path only and that contributed to pace of play. That should improve with warmer and dryer weather.
Slow Play
First let me say I have played this course for the past 12 years. I do love the course and the rates are good. I have on several occasion had slow play here, but today was especially slow. There was a fivesome two groups ahead and they did not keep the pace of play. Nor was there a Marshall to hurry them along. I will probably not play here on weekends again as there are other courses that do not allow fivesomes on weekends and have Marshall’s patrolling the course.
Thank you
