Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Beautiful day!
I was lucky enough to be paired with a couple that plays at my same speed. No traffic in the golf course except for a few times that we had to wait for the group in front of us, never more than 3-5 minutes. Some tee boxes need maintenance and I also wish for players to be better at repairing ball marks on tue greens, but I guess that’s more on the players than the course. Overall a great time golfing!
Nice Layout
Staff in Pro Shop were very professional. I arrived early with my son and a gentleman brought a cart out to us. The course was very nice and well worth the money. The breakfast tacos were excellent as well. My son plays there often and live in BUDA TX.
Slow
We had a 248 tee time and got off at 4. We didn't get the last three holes in calling MONDAY. MAYBE A RAIN CHECK.
Great course
You cant go wrong with Teravista. They need more carts and afternoon tee times can get messy at times, but the course is worth it.
Great condition
The course was in great condition for this time of year and the greens were pure. We had a lot of fun out there today.
Good Value
I am a big fan of Teravista and an avid golfer. If you can find the GolfNow tee time under $50 the value is very hard to beat. I play some private courses around town that aren’t kept in as good of shape. The only downside can be pace of play. If playing on the weekend I will try to play early or at twilight to avoid the dreaded 5hr rd.
It was sleeting
It was sleeting and we didn’t get to play but no rain check or refund was given. Bull crap
excellent course
the course was in excellent shape. the staff was friendly.
Arrogance of Youth
We were bypassed by two groups of young adults - one whom just drove around us - the other who asked to “drive through”. Both groups then proceeded to attempt to play in front of our group. We informed them that it was inappropriate- the first twosome acted as if they owned the course. They finally conceded that we had the right to the fairway but without a marshall, it might have turned ugly.
I wish the course understood what Customer Service is....
I have been playing this course since it opened back in the early 2000's. It was an excellent course when it opened and also during the second ownership group. But these current owners care only about making as many $$$ off the patrons as possible and don't seem to care if we come back. Patrons are nickle and dime'd for every possible penny. Pace of play is LOUSY at best, with five & a half hour round as the norm, and it can get worse on a routine basis and worst part is they don't care. The bunkers are, at best, ground-under-repair and there are no plans to fix them. And they wouldn't know what customer service is if it kicked them in the shins. I used to play 100+ rounds a year on this course, so far this year I have played less than 20. I would spend my GOLF DOLLARS elsewhere.
Swamp
With the amount of rain that we have had in the last month, it was sad to see that the grounds keeper had watered as much as he did the night before. A lot of the greens would squish when you walk on them, there were many greens that had a moat is mud, and there were a couple of bunkers that had water standing in them. I’m sure that this is a great course when it is dry but the mold will set in and kill the grass if the watering isn’t cut back a bit.
Fast Greens, Slow Pace
This course is worth playing. The driving range and warmup area is great. Clubhouse and facilities are perfect. The staff was super friendly. Greens are incredibly fast along with fairways being mowed very short to make it challenging for a weekend golfer. This was a perfect weather day so the course was packed and even though the ranger was working hard it took us three hours to play nine holes. I didn’t get to play the back nine because it took so long so I felt a little cheated.
Great course!!
Teravista is one of the nicest public courses in the area along with Avery Ranch, its sister course. Always in great shape with plenty of amenities as well a very scenic. Would recommend this course to anyone regardless of experience or skill.
Course offers several tee box levels to accommodate all players.
Great course
Course was in great shape given the high among recent rain. It always plays well
