Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Bang for buck except the bunkers
Overall good course and the price was right (28) but the bunkers were unkept and hard like cement. The greens were great but the pace of play slowed down considerably in the back 9. I would not of been happy if I would of paid more.
Worst Pace of Play course in Central Texas
Teravista has the worst pace of play of any course in the area. The reason is the owner sets the tee times every 7 to 8 minutes, so tee times for example are 1:00, 1:07, 1:15, 1:22, 1:30...as you can see in 30 minutes 5 groups have teed off, which creates a huge bottleneck by the 2nd or 3rd hole. When you have this many golfers put on the course in short period of time you're asking for trouble. So, if you do not have 6 hours to spend then Teravista is not your course.
The Course is great, we like it very much
The Course is in good shape I score it very well, I have a great time
Great time
Course was in excellent condition. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great time on an awesome golf course will definitely recommend and will play it again.
SLOW!!!
Left after 4 hrs+ with 3 holes and another hour of agony to go. Not an easy course. Beginners don't belong there.
Need better marshalling
Weekend rounds aren't usually the best for pace of play. However, when you have to skip 2 holes to get in a 5 hour round is insane. I would never play this course on a weekend. What a total waste of my money and "relaxation" reward for working hard. They need to let the cart girl Marshall the facility. Once we skipped the 2 holes on the back, the last four finishing holes were wide open.
Teravista
Course is in great shape when we played. 2nd group off on the 1st and play pretty quickly compared to the norm. Usually play as a 2some and was a little nervous but never saw the group ahead after #2. Played in 2 1/2 hours and was done by 9:15.
Played the course a few weeks ago and the greens were punched and sanded. This time the greens were in great shape and fairways. Will be back for sure.
course condition issues
I've been playing TV since it first opened, and have generally been impressed with the course condition. the last 3-4 times, not so much. the bunkers are mostly hard pan sand, and many of the greens have bumpy areas that appear diseased. i don't know what's changed over there, but it's not a change for the better.
Bad greens
I play this course many times long time ago today was in Bad shape I hope is just by the weather and it lasts for weeks. friendly staff
aerated?
Too slow
Good value but greens were horrible at best. Pace of play awful took over 5 hrs to play. Staff was friendly. No marshalls to help keeping groups moving
Great place to learn the game
Great place for beginners to learn how to play . Great price great staff and everyone friendly there . Glad I move here love it.
Fun course
The course was in great shape but they had just pinched the greens so pretty bumpy...overall a great course
Customer Service was Horrible
For the third time we booked through GolfNow and the staff said the tee time wasn't on the tee sheet even after I showed him email confirmation. He said he could get us on in maybe an hour; ironically, someone called and canceled for a tee time while we were up there. He said we were "lucky", I said I hope you understand that I do not feel lucky but you may...he was extremely rude and did not appoligize once...maybe offer us some range balls while we wait for our "new" tee time. if they don't like Golf Now then don't be a partner with them. The arrogance of the staff was ridiculous.
Course always in generally good condition and pace of play but sand traps are hard pan/dirt
Bitter Sweet
I've played at this course a couple of times, and really enjoyed during some of those rounds. On a good day, the pace is steady, the greens are clean and smooths, and the course is beautiful. However, when the staff will not tell me that they've seeded the greens, and proceed to let me pay for a full round at no discount, it bugs me. Also, there was construction on the 9th hole. I probably won't play here again, because of my last experience, but don't let this keep you from enjoying a good course (on the right day).
the course was a little forgiving
Lots of construction but the course and houses were beautiful, greens did need more attention but I'm sure that will come in time.
Would not recommend
Course bathrooms were disgusting. Ladies' was unavailable. Bunkers were unplayable.
Teravista Reviews
Bunkers need fresh white sand as the sand is not conducive to play.
Good Value
I paid $25 and it was a good value. The pace of play was horrendous as we had to play in front of a 5 some and a 6 some with Juniors. Our round took almost 6 hours. The greens were burned up and a lot of dimples from unfixed ball marks. The greens seemed very tired. But overall, I would come back, great practice facilities, clubhouse, set up and all that is great.
An evening at Terra Vista
Each hole presented a challenge. Played the blue tees. Each green was easily reachable and exciting. Played with two friendly Korean golfers who played very well and helped me to become familiar with the course. Very nice outing.
Teravista
I played with 3 great guys that I got placed with and it was a very enjoyable round. It was quite windy for me as I am used to playing in Ohio.
This is the norm for this course over the past month, and it is not getting better.
