Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

course was in great shape
Friendly atmosphere and a good challenging course to play. Bunkers could use some attention.
Mother's Day Hot Deal
I booked this Hot Deal on Saturday, it was a great price even considering the day. I have always enjoyed this course and my expectations were surpassed. The course was in great shape, fiarways were nice and the greens were rolling very true. The staff and service was great. The GPS on the cart is awesome.
Better than I remembered
It's a better design that I remembered. One of the players in my group is a former club pro who had never played there before. He was once an assistant at an Alister MacKenzie course in CA and even he was impressed by the layout. Course conditions were very good except for several bunkers that needed attention. A greenside bunker on #8 needed more sand or a deep machine rake job and a fairway bunker on #14 has substrate mesh showing through near the front. The 3 other bunkers I was in were good. Greens were excellent. Fairways and tee boxes were very good. Friendly staff. Good experience.
One of few courses in area in good shape.
One of few courses in area in good shape. Greens were slow, but at least they were grass and in good shape.
Enjoyable round
Really enjoyed this course. The course features great fairways and greens on a good track. Take away the omnipresent wind and it is not too challenging, but can make you pay if you err.
There was one slow group that backed up everyone else, so it was mildly slow for a Saturday afternoon. I still had a good time, and enjoyed this course. Good range, MASSIVE putting green that gave a nice preview of the slower greens.
a nice course
The course was in good shape. The greens were slow, but otherwise on good shape. Staff were very friendly!
Great course challenging but fun
The course is in great condition. It is challenging but fun. There's really nothing to dislike here. We'll play it again and often.
Greens could be better
Some of the greens are not in very good condition right now. They were not mown, slower than normal and must be trying to let them ‘grow in’ due to the hard winter. Some sand (mud) bunkers have felt showing, so be careful to not hurt yourself, break a wrist, etc… if you are in one. Most tee boxes are in good shape as are the fairways. I marked course conditions as 'fair' considering the greens and bunkers need improvment.
Bumpy Greens
While it is just Spring, these greens were very, very bumpy. It was pure luck to ever sink a putt.
Teravista
The course pace of play was very slow and it seemed like we spent more time waiting rather than playing. The greens were ok but none of them seemed to play at the same pace. The course is lined by houses on every hole and you get to feel claustrophobic if you are not used to that type of course setting. Overall I think it is extremely over priced for what you get.
JT
I was satisfied playing at Teravista Golf Club. The only knock on the course would be the extremely slow greens.
Not Bad
We played on a Friday afternoon and it was a little slow. the courses was in great shape and it is a good layout. Take advantage of the front nine to post a good score, the back nine is a little harder. Overall we had a great time.
Great Layout
Great course and very friendly staff. Pace of play was great and course was in good shape.
slow play.
They had let two sixsomes off in front of me. I didn't even know sixsome was a word. Brutal pace of play. If this had been a four hour round I'd have had to go 5 stars.
Very good layout
Like the pace interesting variety of holes. Back nine is more difficult of the two and less distracting
Odd policy
Good course but not the friendliest staff and VERY windy both times played. Forced a single to ride in our cart with our threesome...never experienced that in 20+ years playing golf. Single was cool to play with. Just found it odd that they would require that.
Disappointing
I've lived in the Teravista community for a little over a year and have always like the course until recently. The greens had recently been plugged so I understand they were a bit fuzzy and slow but, the sand traps are in ridiculously poor condition. They haven't been raked or cared for in general by the grounds crew for a long time. It has become so bad that players aren't even raking after themselves because of their poor condition. Heaven help you if you land in one since you are likely to either be in mud or someone's unraked footprint!
Also, the pace of play is getting worse and worse with very little marshaling and even occasional 5-somes playing. I'm not sure when I'll return at this point.
Good Course
Pace of Play was great, got paired up with another single and we flew thru the 18 holes. Greens are typically kind of rough this early in the year, had been aereated and had not grown in yet so they were bumpy. Overall enjoyed the round.
Fun Day
Dealing with the inevitable aerated greens was not a big deal knowing that they'll be in great shape shortly. The rest of the ourse was in great shape. Shop staff was very friendly and allowed my father-in-law-to-be ride along in my cart for free....he just wanted to go along for the ride and fresh air. Can't wait to play there again.
awesome
this golf course was one of the finest golf courses I've ever play. I would recommend it to anybody who ever want to play a awesome round of golf.the staff and course management everything was absolutely wonderful.
