Teravista Golf Club
       About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Good Course for All Levels
A somewhat typical subdivision golf course. Has enough tees and challenges (water, sand, layout, etc.) for all levels of play. Condition was good for early spring -- grass was not yet full but okay and greens were consistent. Very crowded on weekends so weekday play would be preferred......
Great Features
The staff was very courteous and accommodating.
I really liked the automatic tee-up driving range with ball tracking. Nice clubhouse.
Course looked great for February, tees and greens in great shape for this time of year. Staff is super friendly and helpful, although I was a bit disappointed on the mandatory double-up on carts. My cart buddy was a great dude and the round was enjoyable, but when you're out on a solo round you just wanna cruise around in your own wheels ya know? However it was understandable as their sister course had some facility issues recently causing them to be a little short on carts and I’m sure that will be remedied soon. Will be back soon to take advantage of that sick looking driving range.
Greens need some serious help
Normally a big fan of Teravista, but other than the 16-18th greens, do not expect to get a consistent roll out of any of your putts. Until this place has time to heal, I’d go elsewhere.
Nice course just north of Austin Texas
I've played Terra Vista 9 or 10 times in the last 5 years and it's always consistent. Nice course, with a few hard holes, but just enough to keep you honest. In general it's a nice layout winding through a couple of different neighborhood homes. Greens roll decent, and were probably rolling at a 8.5 or as far as speed. Not slow but not too fast. The fairways and tee boxes are generally very nice. Bunkers are so/so, but playable. The only drawback to this course is the amount of time it takes to get around on it. For a Wednesday, noon tee time, I would hope to get 18 holes in at around 4 hours. It took about 5 hours for us, and we are NOT slow players. At one point there were three groups on a par three. That is something the management could address and solve. It is a regular occurance at Terra Vista, which is the only reason I don't play it more often. Good value for the type of course. Fix the pace of play, and you're getting 5 stars from me!!
No pace issues
I was in town visiting and was reluctant to play here based on the reviews all screamin about pace of play. I don’t do 5-6 rounds of golf. I had an 8:40 time, trying to beat the non sense everyone mentions in reviews, there was an hour frost delay so we got out at 9:40 and we finished at 1:30 on the dot!!! No waiting on any hole! They had Marshals at every 4th hold or so. It seemed like there was really an effort being made to improve the pace although it was never an issue all 18 holes. It was great!! Great course, good mix of challenge and risk reward from the blues. Definitely makes a difference on the par 3s. I would recommend this course! Staff was awesome!!
Pace was too slow
Need to space out tee times better. We teed off at 2:40 and didn’t even finish 12 holes before it got dark.
Slowest course in the Austin area?
You should be able to finish a round of golf as a single if you start at 1pm on a Tuesday. Not here though. Had to leave halfway through hole 16 after 4.5 hours and waiting 5-8 minutes at EVERY SINGLE tee box. No marshal on a weekday, I get it. Once they saw all the tee times booked up, they probably should’ve adjusted and put one out there. Cart girl didn’t stop for me until hole 14, when there were other people waiting on the tee box with me. Wish there was another course close to me

Pace of Play
It had been quite a while since playing TV. My fears were confirmed once again. Pace of play is complete crap. 2 hours 40 minutes at the turn. Have had this same experience there in the past. Never going back under any circumstances.

slow play
Dont plan on getting done fast on the weekend. Slow play was terrible. Course conditions pretty good overall, greens played nice, except too many unrepaired ball marks. Took 5:15 to play 18 holes, hard to stay in in sync. Staff very nice and freindly, sausage wrap tasty.

PACE OF PLAY
Way too expensive for a 5.5 hour round. Couldn't get a cart until 15 min before tee off. Horrible pace of play, spent at least 5-7 minutes just sitting in the cart on every single tee box, including hole 1.
Overbooked but fun
As some others have stated, the back 9 was crowded. We would have to wait for quite a while at each tee box for 1-2 groups in front of us. Not sure why, but we gave ourselves 4-1/2 hours to finish 18 holes, by the 16th hole, it was too dark to play. We still had fun, and the course is maintained really well, staff was all friendly. We saw the refreshment cart once on the back 9 about 4 pm, it would have been nice to see her earlier or more often, but you can order from the GolfNow app & I believe they will bring it to you, so that is handy.
Beautiful course
4 of us played together. It was a fun course, shaped in a figure 8 that weaves through the neighborhood. The fairway was spray painted green, which I have never seen done before, maybe that’s common in winter, I don’t know.
Otherwise everything was in great condition. The greens were fast, plenty of sand traps & water obstacles, but not so much that a beginner would find it too hard to play, especially if you’re starting from red, which we did to make it easy since 2 girls were playing with us.
The pace of play was quite slow. Too many players on too few holes. At one point on the back nine, there were 7 groups spread between 2 holes. With the reduction of playable daylight, I think the staff overbooked to make up for lost revenue.
