About
Olympia Hills Golf Course is very exciting and enhances San Antonio's reputation as a golf destination. A unique combination of natural topography and man-made mounds and bunkers make this a super course. Native South Texas vegetation and golf course grass seed formulations on fairways and greens will provide state-of-the-game playing surfaces. The views are spectacular, with several holes playing to greens well below the tees, while other lead to a significant rise to reach the putting surface. Fairways, which on some holes are tight, are often sloped and guarded by bunkers. The tips will not be played by the faint hearted, but with four sets of tee boxes, the course can be enjoyed by all levels of players.

I normally play here once a week. This is the first time i have encountered thre players sharing one bag. I got so tired of waiting behind them and being offered to play thru that at the turn i played the front nine again. its bad enough when i see five players together but this was horrible
Great topography
Cool layout, lots of undulating fairways. A lot of elevation changes made strategy on some holes come into play. Deers on course were nice touch.
Cons: course is overplayed, pitch marks not repaired, fescue on greens prominent. Dirt bunkers with pebbles and rocks. Pace of play - very slow, annoyingly slow.
Rough
Overall beautiful course in very average condition. Parts of the fairway had bald spots and the ground was like concrete in spots. Needs huge repairs on some of the holes. Two greens where in complete disrepair and looked like they were dug up by some animal and making puts impossible. Also I was surprised there was no coffee or food available in the morning, as is pretty standard. There are far better municipal courses in the area for better pricing. Won't be back.

I haven't play Olympia Hills Golf Course in sevral years! It is in great shape and was fun to play!
Good course
Overall, we had a good experience at Olympia Hills. The only negative is that there were several areas that were over-watered and very muddy. Some adjustments to the sprinklers would help a lot.
Hill Country Value
One of the better courses in the San Antonio hill country area when you combine design/layout and bang for your buck. Would return.
Timing
Played Olympia Hills today, I like the layout and green complexes. Today it didn’t play as tight. The fairways were not freshly mown and the greens were soft and a bit hairy. A fresh cut would have made the difference on this Saturday.
Look forward to the next lap around and hoping my timing is right for we can get a haircut every day of the week.
The front 9 was alittle challenging but great to play. The back 9 opens up for a great way to end the round. First time playing and I will definitely be back. Great views of surrounding area.
