Waterview Golf Club
About
Rowlett’s first course has been laid out over a flat range of pasture, supplemented by 15 acres of lakes and over 1,000 new trees. Designed to be hacker friendly, the lack of mature trees provide an especially generous look and feel, tempting the mid-level handicapper to tee it up from the 7,191 yard tips and go long off the tee. Bent greens are the highlight of the round here–they roll true and provide solid opportunities to snake in a few long putts.
Getting there : Off of I-30 exit Dalrock Rd. and drive north through Hwy. 66. A half-mile past 66 veer left on Princeton, which dead-ends at Liberty Grove. Turn right into the Waterview division and take Waterview Pkwy. to the clubhouse

Beautiful, windy day on the course
I played this course as a single a was paired up with a twosome. We had to wait on every shot, but I was in no rush so it didn't bother me too much. Some groups behind didn't like waiting and we let them play with us to make a group of five. The greens were not in the best shape with two different types of grass on them, but they were really fast and hard to read. It's early in the season and I had a good idea of what the course would look like. This place will look great in a month. The facilities are nice, the staff was fantastic. They were overbooked for my liking, but it was such a nice day that I can't blame everyone for wanting to play golf. One more thing, there needs to be more areas on this course to use the restroom.
This coures is in good shape for early spring
The value is great here, esp. Mondays. The coures is well cared for and I look forward to playing it this year.
Great bent grass greens and outstanding value!
We play here quite often and it is always a great experience. The staff is very friendly and for the price, you can't be the bentgrass greens.
Greens rolled true, bunkers needed some work after recent rains
I've played Waterview quite a few times. I enjoy the layout, as it is not overly difficult and the greens are well maintained.
During this round it had just rained quite a bit and the bunkers were washed out and some had quite a bit of casual water. Other than that, the course was in good condition. It drains pretty well, so there wasn't much casual water elsewhere.
As always, the greens rolled very true and were fairly quick.
Value for your dollar is good here, especially with the discounted tee times that are sometimes offered.
Not worth the $43.00 at all.
The "ambassador" allowed a group of 6 to play two groups ahead of us. Causing the round to slow to a crawl. The green were heavily sanded and no one bother to tell us. That's not worth the money. The fairways were very hard and dry. Save your money. This is not a good deal.
Great putting
The smooth fast greens were a joy to putt on and were receptive to the approach shot.
Course in good shape for this time of year ( Feb).
Entire course is running fast. Greens are firm but rolling good!
Good course, great greens!
The course is in great shape for this time of year. FAST track all the way around - hard and fast fairways and mounds around the greens. Greens are lightning fast but hold approaches well and roll true. I get out to a lot of public courses in the area and these greens are the best I've seen in a long time.
This course has great features
hard to lose a ball
great practice area
not crowded,especially for a 62degree Fri.
booked for 20.25
im happy
The greens are always soft and roll well.
It's rarely crowded here during the week so the pace of play is great. Good mix of long and short holes with one drivable par 4. The greens are always soft and responsive. Great course for the price.
This course has great features
This is a good course, greens are in good shape and overall course maintenance is very good
Good value for your money
I've played Waterview many times...course is straightforward. Greens are in good shape...chilly day when we played and they did not have the grill open and left tee markers off holes 13-18. Good practice area.
Course was in really good shape, greens best part
Challenging 17th hole, over 200 yards with water and bunkering penalizing poor shots
They keep the course in good condition
Tee Boxes are flat and well maintained.
Fairways are brown due to winter but they have grass.
Bentgrass greens are in good condition and fast.
Bunkers have real sand and are well maintained.
Great course, love the flow of the holes. Good mix of easy and hard. One of my favorite courses in the Dallas area.
Bent greens!
At 65, I enjoy a course that can be played from 6000 yds that is a fair test of one's amateur golfing ability. I play Waterview regularly for this reason. The staff are the some of best I have encountered - friendly and always glad to see you.
fairways in good conditions and rough maintained, greens in super conditions considering time of year
Overall course conditions were good. It is the end of golf seasons and there was renovations going on wtih bunkers. Fairway bunkers came into play but for me being a beginning golfer this was ideal because it made me slow my golf swing and discover how well I am progressing in swing. Fairways in excellent condition. Staff and ambassadors were extremely helpful and courteous. Would recommend to anyone and will play again.
Great course. Amazing greens.
This course is pretty challenging, maintained well and is a lot of fun to play. There is a new greens keeper that is really making the greens top notch. Do yourself a doctor and play this course.
"Best Greens in DFW
The course is in great shape and it a lot of fun to play. It is not too easy or too hard, it just provides a nice day of golf--fun fun.
A Straight Forward Test Of Your Game
This is a "hit it down the middle", housing development on all sides, wide fairways, fairly simple golf course. All the holes are straight from tee box to green - not a dogleg to be found. There is a lot of water on the back 9, but only in play on #14. The #9 green has water primarily on the right.
My round there was enjoyable, but not memorable - I'm not sure I could describe one interesting golf hole.
The bunkers are mostly dirt and didn't come into play. The trees are mostly young and didn't come into play.
You should score well here.
Great course and staff. I play here a lot and every time it is a great experience
Challenging course with great greens. Fairways and greens are very fast. The bunkers could use some work. The staff for the most part is very friendly, the ambassador though is a little over enthusiastic. Several times I had my cart in the rough slightly past the no carts signs on the fairway and he went on to tell me that I should view the cart sign as if it goes around the world. Really? The no cart sign really means no carts in the fairway beyond that point. What really gets me though is the fact that he drives right over the green to come tell you..., other than that the people in the clubhouse are awesome. I once scheduled a tee time on the wrong day and when I showed up in the wrong day they honored it anyway. Pretty awesome.
