Fun Time
Course is older, and shows a lot of wear and tear. Tee's had very little grass, and greens had some bare spots. It was exactly what we expected. Nice staff, friendly players, in front, and behind us. We ahd a great time, and will play here again. It is not a Course for a "serious" golfer, but highly recommended for having some fun.
Value
It’s not a $150 course but then again We only paid $40. Great value ! It was fun!
Nice round
Nice round for warming up after a couple of weeks off.
Was able to use the driver and fairway woods on a couple holes. Greens were in toughest shape. Kim was very friendly in the clubhouse.
Not Well Maintained
The only positive that I can say about my experience at Riveria Golf was the electric golf cart worked great. The bad experience started on the putting green which had not been cut in a long time. The greens appeared to have but cut within the last week. Many of the greens had sandy areas on them which made it impossible to putt through. The tee box conditions were as bad as the greens. Very disappointed in my experience. Would have been better off to go to a driving range instead of paying my hard earned money for this course.
Golf Club????????
We were informed by the team that Riviera Golf Club was an executive course with a nice layout, just needing a little TLC. A better description would be a nicely mowed pasture, good layout, that no executive would be found on. The course actually needs a significant amount of TLC, not just watering the weeds and throwing sand in all the dead grass & holes.
I would suggest not investing your time or money in the course; as it does not look like the club is reinvesting course income in the course.
Sad day for golfers of any level.
It’s an older course
We were warned that the course is 50 years old and needs some TLC. Very accurate statement. Course not commensurate with price.
Over priced
Green were very bad shape, almost no grass anywhere on the course weeds or sand in the fairways
Hands down the worst course I've ever played
Nested within a rundown trailer park, this course hardly qualifies as a golf course. The track is very short, with terrible tees, fairways, paths, rough, greens, and more. It felt like playing at a retirement home.
I would avoid this place at all costs if you are anything other than a first-time golfer. If you're shooting in the 120s and want a junker course to learn on, then this could be a good starter for you, otherwise, you will not have an enjoyable time. There are many 3-4x nicer courses for the same money.,
Winter golf extravaganza
Not sure why golf now carries this course as well as not sure where positive reviews come from. This may have once been a sporty little course but long ago it fell into disrepair. Played a threesome with my children and they were dumbfounded. Tee boxes all slanted and greens not puttable. First nine thru trailer park second nine had a few nice holes. $45 plus tax would have been better spent anywhere. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Course is unplayable
Layout is great and it is in a great location. Course is not in playable shape. Greens are not puttable none of them. There is almost no grass on the greens, fairways, and tee box’s unless you count weeds. A few areas are watered but 90% of the course is dry and is gets. Don’t know how you could charge anything to play this course. Whoever runs it or takes care of it should be ashamed of themselves.
Riviera Golf Course
The setting and location are fine. However the course is in poor condition and the green are terrible.
Needs Work
The course has the potential for being a challenging nice little course. However, the greens are a mix of turf and sand and desperately need some water, fertilizer and TLC. Fairways are the same - a little work along with some water, fertilizer and grass seed would be a great improvement. Relatively new golf carts were in excellent condition and bunkers were fine. A good mix of short and longer holes made it challenging, but course and green conditions made it frustrating play.
Greens are not greens
Greens are unputtable right now…. Just sand, dirt and weeds. Staff were friendly and pace was fine since nobody was there. That sent up a red flag and it was warranted. Worst conditions I’ve seen anywhere in 40+ years.
