Shhh
Rather keep it quiet but my nearby muni is a fun, forgiving, and usually very well paced golf venue. Absolutely worth the price and currently in.great condition, assuming you like quick greens that are challenging and roll truly. Don’t tell anyone though or you’ll ruin it.
One of the best layouts around. In excellent condition especially the greens!
Great
Course is in great condition! Green are slick, but that’s the way I like them! Our 4 some finished in 3 hrs. & 15mins. Good lunch at Tianto’s!! Will be back!!⛳️⛳️
Beautiful Course & Fast Greens
The course was in perfect condition and the green were fast. No complaints ! Restaurant is closed on Mondays though.
Hidden gem
This was the first time here for my friend and I. Great little course! Everything from the tee boxes to the greens looked great. No dead patches anywhere. The layout was easy but fun. The fairways are wide open and forgiving for those shots that go a little off target. All the staff were very friendly. We had a great day and will definitely be back!
First Time
First time here and enjoyed my round very much. Links style course where just about every hole is 300 some odd yards and straight up. Fairways and greens in good shape. There are several putting and chipping areas which is nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back and I recommend you give it a shot if you haven't been here.
New Smyrna Muni - always a pleasure
It was a day that threatened rain but other than a light drizzle for about a half hour, it was dry and remarkably comfortable for September 9 in Florida - about 82-85 degrees.
We teed off at noon and played our round in 3:05. And that was with cart path only, which we strictly adhered to.
I'd say being Thursday with questionable weather helped my threesome not run into any other golfers the whole round. By later in the day when it was clearing, the course looked like it was picking up.
Very few spots were too wet to hit from, and generally despite a lot of rain the last few days the course was fairly dry, and very playable.
The greens here are always a joy to putt on - I could have putted better but I had a great time and a slightly better than average score.
This is a very forgiving course. A few wayward drives did not hurt me as badly as they would on some courses.
A Donald Ross Hidden Gem
Amazing value for one of Donald Ross’ better (public) - albeit, lesser known -FL courses. Ross’ presence is definitely felt, especially on the greens - double tiered, false fronts, a few swales and they were rolling smooth. Routing is fun and provides plenty of variation even with the mostly flat FL landscape. Staff was also extremely friendly and you can tell they care about the course. History, laidback vibes, solid conditions, and shot making opportunities. Definitely worth the trip from St. Augustine.
