Lake Diamond Golf & Country Club

The course just put in some short tee boxes. They are a big benefit for older players and it's more fun now. Course in somewhat rough shape, but greens are decent. Excellent value if you can overlook some poor fairways. (move ball to grass). New fleet of Yamaha golf carts are quiet and fast. Really like them.

This course needs a lot of TLC, if that happens then a lot more play could be expected. The greens are in good shape and roll well. The fairways while green are loaded with cow grass and the traps need much attention.

For the price on golf now it's good for practice. The community is being expanded and a lot dirt is being moved all around the course. Perhaps some money will be allocated to improvement of the course, one can only hope.

This course is struggling a bit, like so many are. The fairways on the front 9 are rough. But the greens were good and we really like the course layout. There are tree lined fairways. Also some water that comes into play on the back 9. It's a challenge for any level of golfer. Residents from the community help to staff the clubhouse, and are always friendly to deal with. .

The course is under rehab but is coming along. The greens are getting better, but we're slow. The course makes you plan where you need to place your shots. We will play it again for sure.

They have done good job taking care of their fairways and greens

This course was in very bad shape. The fairways were awful. It was only $20 to play but wouldn't play it if it was free. My group ended up playing 4 holes and left because it was in such bad shape. We played several courses over the weekend. We flew in from North Carolina just to play golf. We played all the local courses near us. You can play a lot nicer courses for close to the same money. We chose this course because it had decent reviews. Fairways were full of sand and patchy grass that wasn't green. I wouldn't recommend this course to anybody. Not even sure how they get business. This may be the course for you if you like hitting out of sandy fairways and don't care about your game or your golf clubs. I never leave reviews but I didn't want anybody to waste their money like we did.

Played the course once in a while. Not the best but I can get on in High Season. Greens are generally good

but the fairways still need work for the most part.

The people that run the place were friendly and very helpful! One woman drove home to retrieve sun tan lotion for us!

The course was long and well worth the money and travel time from the villages.

I always look forward to playing lake diamond. Greens are in great shape. Fairways are a bit sparse but a great value for the money. Very slow play due to a foursome who didn't have sense to let people play through.

this course is as good as any around if they put some monies into the fairways and tees. greens are really decent. course layout very interesting, mores on back then front. heard they are going to build about four hundred new homes, hopefully, developers will bring course back to what it once was

I was really impressed of how much work that have put into the course. The tee boxes are in great shape, the fairways are really great with green grass, the bunkers are in great shape, the greens are super, slow but that is something you have to get use to. I will be recommending this course to all my friends and the Pine Oaks golf league buddies.

Played Sunday afternoon - only 9 holes as we had other things to do. Fariways were very plush, greens were cut nicely - made for a perfect afternoon. The windy day created its own challenges that added to the fun. Counter worker was very nice.

Some tight fairways and tough doglegs, but greens were good and this course offers a bit of a challenge. We enjoy playing here.

The course as I understand is on the way towards better conditions. Overall, we thought it was a good course with adequate fairways and better than average greens. The front nine as mentioned in other reviews has lost a bit of it's view due to subdivision clearing of the woods. The back nine is very different with it being a more established residential area. We were impressed with the need for a shot maker course. Keep the driver in the bag most of the back nine. Let the big dog eat on the front. We will be back for sure.

This year has seen a rapid rise in the cost of golfing at this course. it is an average course but its green fees are only a few dollars below the best courses. You have to question whether you should spend a couple dollars more and play one of the better courses in the Ocala area.
