What a shame
I have played the course a hand full of times and found that the course is in poor shape. Riding in a cart I found the fairways to be in very poor shape as you very rarely were able to hit off of grass, they a very bumpy and will make your back hurt by the end of the round, the greens on the front 9 were in horrible shape but a little better on the back 9 and the bunkers are hard as a rock. It is inexpense however it's not even worth the greens fees and would'nt recommend the course. I'd rather pay twice as much and play a well maintained course.
Georgia snowbird
course was very reasonable with all but one hole with a blind shot and what you see is what you have. I am sure would play more difficult with water in season. Overall good value for the money.
Challening
Greens are fairly good. Fairways need a lot of work. But the price was right.
rough greens
Front nine greens were in bad shape, the back was better as I neared the end of the round. The 18th green is the way all the greens should have been.
shot maker course
Do not try to over power this course, 14 holes are dog legs of varying degree, par three's are the only direct to flag holes. Some fairways are very bad so "rolling" the ball is mandatory to get a decent lie. Played on Friday, pro shop staff was very friendly and answered all questions with honesty and direct. Price for the course a appropriate, carts were clean, tee boxes were very good. Front none green were thin due to many trees surrounding the greens thus not enough sun light, back nine greens were excellent. Again, for the price the course is fair, staff is friendly, course could be great if more effort were taken.
Cheap round
Ok course, nothing to write home about could do with some tlc
This course has nothing to offer.
This course is in very poor condition. The fairways are full of weeds and bare spots. The greens are in terrible condition. Don't waste your time.
Lake Diamond
This course is a pretty good value for the money. The only thing really holding it back is the general shape the course is in. Fairways and rough is not easily discernible. Rough has very little grass and a lot of sand in places making a rescue shot from the rough pretty hard. Sand traps need work. But for the cost it's a fair course to play. There are nicer courses in the area but you will have to pay about $15 to $20 more to get on those courses. Played this course about 3 years ago and no real improvements in quality. Its a shame as the course layout is very good.
Larryp
Fairways OK, course is always a good challenge. Greens were in pretty good shape. Enjoy playing this course occasionally.
good course if you can play it cheap
Some of the greens in good shape others not so good-fairways rough no grass in many spots. Like playing here though-good value for the money and staff is nice.
Fun course
This course may not be as pristine as some but there is more challenge than many. Requires course knowledge as many landing zones are hidden. Not much water but layout provides it's own necessity for quality shots. I am new to area and played solo but look forward to playing with regulars.
excellent value
for the cost for 18 holes & cart, excellent value, recommend to the occaisonal golfer who enjoys being outside and thankful to be alive
The course is challenging and fair
The course is in average shape with very fast greens. The greens on the back were in excellent condition and the greens on the front have been worked on and are in good condition and very fast. We always like playing at Lake Diamond. There was no restaurant facilities at the course.
A back yard golf course
For the money and practice on the worse conditions you could face it's all that. The course needs some extreme neglected care.
John's opinion
Excellent course layout, beautiful setting. Course has not been well cared for but value would bring me back and the beauty of the area.
freedom
I love playing lake diamond! the golf course doesn't have the greatest T boxes and fairways but the greens roll good and it's a real challenging course.
A lot of fun.
Had a lot of fun. Very challenging if you don't hit in fairway everytime then bring a bunch of extra balls you will lose a lot in over over grown rough or in water. Wildlife was awesome saw 6 deer right there on course rode close to them and took pics and they just stood there eating like we weren't even there. Definitely will be going back after I stock back up on extra balls.
Terrible maintenance
This course is an eye sore. It's a shame too because it could be a really good looking course. This first 5 holes or so were mowed, but the rest of the holes looked like they haven't been mowed for weeks. Last time I was there they were mowing with a push mower. Group infront of me lost a ball in the FAIRWAY.Dont get me started on the "sand traps". I realize you need business to afford good maintenance, but the maintenance is so bad its no wonder nobody is ever there. Catch 22
