Great course, great rate, great time
We had a great time playing Lake Diamond. Course is in good shape.
Lots of Fun
Very friendly staff . I booked as a single and then paired up . The course was challenging and I was very surprised to see ( 3 ) par 5's . I was informed that there are new owners and that the course is being up graded . There where a few holes that could use some TLC but I can see that they are progressing . I'm new at this game but I have to say that this course was the best one so far . Being a rookie , having wide fairways makes me feel more relaxed when teeing off . Be fore warned....lol....I WILL be back !
lots of woods
The fairway is a little below par, but the greens are very good
way too slow
Good value but pace of play was extremely slow. Course is in good shape
I'll be back
The most notable thing about this course is the Greens. There almost perfect. A few ball marks left by dumb golfers but overall they are great. Some of the fairways are a little scruffy but not bad. Great location and scenic but the roughs are rough!! Overall a very nice place to play.
Fairways
Fairways hard & not easy to get under ball. Greens in good shape
ok course to play
Ok place to play. The price is right based on course condition. We play there one to two times per week.
Fairr but rough
The fairways were Mott the best a lot various grasses the rough were rough but playable the greens were a little slow. Overall a good value for the price
Getting better all the time
They have finally mowed the rough, still more is needed. The fairways are fine and the Greens are perfect except for hole 3 has a bit of work needed, otherwise perfect greens and they are getting faster. Best suggestion to owner is continue the good work and work towards improving tee boxes and more control of rough, other than that the course has come a long way.
Cow Pasture
The ONLY reason to play here is because it's cheap. I play it a couple times a months due to cheap rates through Golf Now. There is crab grass on every fairway and you have to move the ball all the time. The rough is un-kept and losing balls is commonplace. The design of the course has much to be desired. The greens are cut out of the woods, elevated, sloping downward. If you miss the green left, right or long, chances are you won't find the ball, much less hit it. I hit one green, the ball rolled off and downward. Never found it. The course could be great with some re-design and money spent. Most employees are volunteers and do just enough to get buy. If I could afford it I'd never play here again.
Jungle
Many previously had stated that the ruff you will lose balls. I didn't keep count but I lost more balls and just need to hit the fairway You have to be in the fairway the greens were very slow although fair condition. Overall it was like playing in the jungle.
I paid six bucks plus tax so in that light it was a great way to have a practice round without really counting all the strokes.
pace of play was great
Course played fast, no log jams! Rough is, penalty with lost ball IN fairway! Could be cut better.
Greens were excellent, bunkers still wet from a week of rain.
Poor condition.
Rees and fairways were very long. It is controlled weeds at best. Didn't see true turf until you were on the greens. Played here many times. Condition was hideous!
good course
The course. And greens were in good shape. The ruff outside the fairway made it impossible to find your ball.overall good.
lake diamond golf and country club
need to mow some grass seams they don't do much of anything out there. never see anyone working on course someone needs to be mowing grass way to high this is not the british open
"Watch for "BOB"
First, I fear retailiation from a volunteer "BOB", for writing this review, because I play Lake Diamond G.C. quite often using Golf Now. "BOB", a volunteer (not an employee), has been threatening and abusive to me (a paying customer). He has also been abusive and bullying to other volunteers in my presence ( and according to those volunteers...also to them). "BOB's" response to these "inputs"is usually to fabricate a story about others rather than he (and his supervisors) dealing with his behavior. As a paying customer I really don't want to be subject to their "Drama"...I just want to play golf...Fore...I love Golf Now!
Good for the money good featured
Good. Course.for the money some times it like your group is the only one on the course. Then other times you get stuck behind club members who play real slow. During the week after 1:00 course is empty not very hard if you can drive ball on or near fairway greens are in good shape sometimes pin placement is tough to go at But like I stated earlier great for the money
Nice greens
Very challenging for novices. Varying grasses when missing fairways. Kiss your ball goodbye when OB, you probably will not find it. Really nice greens, though.
Great Day!!
Very nice golf course!! We want to go again.
Perfect family day!!
Just OK for the money
I play here because it's cheap. The fairways have a lot of crabgrass and the rough swallows golf balls. The greens are nestled into woods and are sloped. If you hit the ball left, right or behind the green chances are you won't find your ball, much less hit it. The bunkers have little sand; mostly hard dirt. It could be a great course if money was spent but I doubt that will happen.
