Lake Diamond Golf & Country Club

Good course lay-out with decent fairways and bunkers. The greens were a bit slow. You can't get better value!

Last played here 3 years ago, course was in bad shape. We thought we would try it again, The course has come back to being in good shape. Still needs some work but for the money not bad.

We stopped playing Lake Diamond a couple of years ago because it had fallen into such a sad state--lousy course conditions, junky carts, etc. So we decided to give it another try. It has improved somewhat, but still needs work. The overseed didn't take or was underseeded this winter and you could see that, once the overseed dies off this Spring, the fairways will be even sparser. The greens, due to their turtleback design, also didn't hold the overseed. So the best grass at the greens was in the fringe. I hit a ball to the right of the fairway on hole #3 and it went down into a swale. It should have been a simple chip to the green. When I went down to hit it is was plugged into a pile of sand which seemed to be there for no apparent reason. Since it wasn't marked as "Ground Under Repair" I had to play it from that plugged sandy lie. Our golf cart had one hubcap. I know it's a small thing, but either put on all four hubcaps or don't put on any. And wash the cart once in a while!! It's attention to the small details that offers a better presentation. We'll give Lake Diamond another couple of years and then MAYBE try it again.

The course could use improvements in the entrance parking area. It's not a Mid $30 or $40 course, but at $20, it's a great value. The greens and fairways were good. I will play again. The other members of the group (3) also felt it was a great value, and will return.

This course is "under improvement" to where you can see the progress that they are on the correct path to a very nice golf course. I would play it again.

green very slow, some were cut other were not over all poor condition.

poor shape needs some work greens are very slow and the fairways are like rough, for 18$ on a Sunday morning not bad differently a hackers course .

I genuinely had fun playing the course. A lot of holes that really make you think about your club selection off the tee.

The fairways were in overall pretty good condition, with the exception being one or two holes where some drunk joyriders broke onto the course and did a few donuts in a fairway :(

The greens were over-seeded which I did not know and it turned out the rate I paid was more then the rate would have been had I just gone out and paid there. Not by a whole lot but still it was.

Two greens that I can think of had some real trouble on parts of the green due to the trees that grew up around the green. The overabundance of shade and lack of air circulation likely.

Besides these though the course has potential, I would play again but it would have to be in the 15$ range until the greens over-seeding takes hold.
