PLM BEACH GARDENS
Played here last year and enjoyed it.
Now after the major course overhaul, it has to be my favourite South Florida course. Challenging holes, with water coming into play on many of them.
Beautiful setting in a swampland nature preserve.
Alligators can be seen near several holes, and the bird life is stunning.
I like the Par 5 13th hole, dogleg left then right calls for accuracy.
Staff are most helpful and friendly. The course wardens ensure the pace of play is maintained. The whole atmosphere is welcoming.
One feature that needs improving is the bar menu which is limited. And for people requiring a vegetarian option it is not good.
Played here 7 times in the past 2 weeks and wil be back again next year.

An excellent Muni
Course was in great shape - maintenance crew does their thing well. Lots of bird/water fowl activity. Greens are true and ball-mark free. They are receptive. I thoroughly enjoyed my round.
I enjoyed this course a lot.
This course has a lot of water and great turns.
OK for all levels of players.
this course is very challenging
I dont like a course with blind shot or with fairways who penalize good shot. You are always searching for the safe place to hit your ball. The greens are to tough and to hard . It's always a miracle if your ball stay on the green; I understand that it's like a new course but the greens are suppose to be soft because you have a lot of undulations . I was impress by the friendless of the staff. I red before that they are horrible and I think thats time to change the reviews about it.
Well Managed and Well Attended
The staff were very accommodating. My clubs missed my flight that morning, the staff rescheduled a later time, retrieved clubs, was paired up with a 2 excellent golfers and played a full 18 that afternoon. From the front desk to the starter to the cart and course staff everyone was grade A. The course conditions and layout were great. Several tee boxes to choose from, we played the back tees at about 6500 and it was a treat. GolfNow rate made a good deal all around.
Golf and nature at their best!
This golf experience was outstanding. Despite the negative comments directed toward some of the staff in previous reviews, I found them all to be friendly, courteous, professional and efficient. It kinda makes you wonder about the people writing the previous reviews. Having a golf course carved out of a nature reserve makes for a truly unique experience!!! I'll definitely return on my next trip to the area!!!
A good challenge
I have seen friendlier staff (club house and starter). Very nice marshall that did his best with 2 very slow foursomes ahead of us. 90 degree rule. Course in excellent shape allthough the greens had very hard landing surface. Challanging course with water everywhere and fast ondulating greens. I have not seen toilets on the course. First time, but I will go back.
Recently Reopened
This is a nice course that they just keep making easier and easier by removing the natural elements. I wish they would leave the natural elements in place even if it is more challenging. They did need to work to improve the drainage here and I believe they have.
Met expectations from other good reviews.
As first time player at the course, was very glad to find that the previous reviews lived up to their billing. Course is in excellent condition and pace of play was good. GPS in carts helps tremendously with pace of play. Couple of tricky par 5's with double dog legs made being a first timer a challenge. Looking forward to going back again.
Nice improvements
First time playing since the course upgrades... Nice job. At the time it was cart path only but I understand it is 90 degree now.
Play was a little slow but the ranger moved us past a slow 4-some... Good course control.
Course in great condition and the staff are super friendly.
Small restaurant on second floor has a nice covered deck overlooking course.
Nice day, will return.
Nice renovation
Played the course a few days after it reopened so we were constrained to the cart paths, which made the play a little longer. The course is going to be in very nice shape when it matures from the renovation. This is a challenging course with lots of water. Target golf is the key on a number of holes. Sand is in good shape as well. I will play this course again and enjoy the layout. No houses on the course, a real plus if you like the beauty of wetlands and undisturbed natural features.
Great since closing
The course has been closed for like 6 months...wow it was worth it.....it looks like a whole new course...the fairways are beautiful and the greens are nice and now alot faster...great course who i hope keeps their rates affordable.
Looking forward with great anticipation to play after renovations
This course is now closed for renovations to drainage and overall worthiness for play and will re-open in November. I just hope that they don't raise the rates too much...
Loved this course!
This course was great. The staff was helpful and the course was well maintained. The carts were terrific and had GPS too. Thoroughly enjoyed this course and will go back when I am back in Florida.
Unfriendly "locals only" municiple course
The course was just "OK". It had a lot of water, it was flat and somewhat conjested. The greens were more brown than green. They made a big deal about their "no cooler" policy even though all we had was a couple of waters in a mini pouch.
Loved it
Was my first time playing at the palm beach gardens city course. I enjoyed every minute of it. Took a friend for his first time ever golfing so our game took awhile, but we both had a great time. It rained the night before which I was afraid of, but never felt any real mud anywhere in bounds. Awesome GPS in the carts help with your game. Overall I had a great time and will be playing there for sure when they re-open after the remodeling.
Back nine really a treat
Course in overall good shape, a couple of greens were less that perfect. will close June 1st for renovations
Lots of water, some holes very narrow
Played after heavy rain the previous day. Poor drainage added lots of free standing water on water hazard edges and lots oh fairways. Avoid this course after heavy rains. Otherwise a great course.
Amazing setting
Course is getting ready to shut down for 6 months and it shows why. Poor drainage and the greens need attention but the layout is nice and the settings and surrounding wildlife areas make this course a challenge. Its a bit short, but still a fun course over all.
Great municipal course.
Great municipal course. Unfortunately, they are closing down June 1st until December to re-do some of the fairways, greens and tee boxes.
