Martin Downs Country Club - Osprey Creek Course

The rough and areas of play around the greens has got to be cut!

I understand we are not in season but wow let’s mow the grass.

Played there 2 years ago and loved it and now I have to say it has been poorly maintained

Tee boxes and some fairways still need improvement. Overall, I enjoyed playing this course.

This was the first time out on the course in a couple of years for my husband and I (both 60 years old) We liked the layout of the course. It was not too challenging but there is a lot of water and sand that keep you on your toes. Since it was so hot and low season in South Florida it was nice that there was nobody in front of us holding us up, and nobody waiting on us from behind. In error I booked the wrong date for golf, but the pro was very kind and edited our booking and got us out immediately. He was great. The man who wiped down our clubs when we finished was very kind and asked about our game. The lady in the restaurant shack at the turn was extremely nice and went above and beyond in preparing hot dogs for us when she was about to close up shop. Between the layout that is good for us, and the super kind staff we will be back!

Pros: The course layout was nice and challenging. The par 3s were fun to play. A lot of water hazards and sand traps. Clubhouse, pro shop, and bar area are very nice. They offer a lot of amenities. Staff was very friendly. On course restrooms were very clean. Pace of play was great because we were the only people on the course at the time.

Cons: The course itself needs A LOT of work. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in rough shape. Due to all of the water hazards, the course is riddled with gnats, by the end of the round we were covered in them.

The money was definitely spent on the clubhouse, they need to dedicate more attention to the maintenance of the course. The course has potential to be really nice and at a great price. I hope they’re able to get it in better shape. I would like to play it again

Greens could use some work, but overall fun layout

I've been here a few times now. And while I love the layout. The conditions of the greens are absolutely atrocious. It looks like a dirt patch that's been spray painted green. Try and not stand around for too long to watch your playing partners ball flight off the tee or you'll be torn up by the countless mounds of fire ants!!

Have not played there in a while course is better than it was

Avoid this course at all cost. Usually enjoy the short drive from Jup up to Stuart to play golf. I was was given a dilapidated cart that eventually broke down on 15, ended up walking a couple holes with all of our stuff, and they even had us help bring the cart back. I thought comping the round would be fair for the trouble, but they refused, saying they weren’t allowed to do that. What a joke. Florida Club is a much better option.

Course has been in better condition. Fairways and roughs were weedy. Greens were bumpy.

Just aerated, but the course was in fantastic shape recommend going now

Forward tees were basically on the fairway. Layout is interesting and fun but course needs work. Grounds keepers need a course on golf courtesy. They were blowing sand off a par 3 green as we hit onto the green and continued to blow our balls once they reached the green. Not acceptable. I understand that the course will be closed for a couple weeks. Will return to to see the progress

It’s the offseason and for the price didn’t expect a whole lot but was pleasantly surprised. The tee box, fairways, and greens were in great shape. Course is challenging with the amount of marsh and water. Would absolutely play here again during this summer

Friendly staff, beautiful clubhouse. I went for the great deal for the specific tee time. Other than the clubhouse, nothing seemed maintained.

We came out on mothers day, weren’t rushed at all. Appreciated the friendly staff.
