Golfer Reviews
Needs work
You can and will loose golf balls in the rough. If you miss the green by a foot good luck finding your ball. Fairway rough is the same.the greens are very patches. Pace of play was good because nobody was out there.
cow pasture
Is not kept up at all!! As I was playing there were a few greens that as I was approaching the water turned on. It was low 90's and the sprinklers ran for less than 5 minutes.
Yankee loves Florida
Great layout and Challenge. Great value for the price. All staff were courteous, professional and extremely friendly. Didn’t plan to but went back the next day!
Bad greens and hairy rough
Greens had just been punched 2 weeks ago but showed signs of burning in spots. Also the rough was sooo high I lost 2 golf balls in the rough . It’s not the US Open it’s a public course cut the grass!!!
This course not in good shape!
Have played this course many times. Previous rounds have had much better conditions. Very little grass in the fairways. Most of the rough hadn't been cut in weeks. Rough was multiple lengths with lots of weeds. Greens had been aerated 3 weeks ago and were not filling in very well. Still many holes from aeration with many bare spots. Very disappointing. On top of all that, food and drink pricing was very expensive, especially for current conditions. Higher than many other courses I play in the general area. Unfortunately, it will be a long time until I play this course again. Needs much improving before then!
Conditions
The greens were pathetic. I paid $28 with the ridiculous Golf Now golf fees. Plus the rough area grass was way to high. Should have been cut. I got a rain check for 14 holes. Probably won’t ever use it.
Beware
No notice given back nine was closed and recent green aeration was performed . No maintenance of fairways, rough and bunkers for at least 2 weeks.
Golf Now should not be selling tee times under these conditions without notification.
There are at least a dozen better options for my money and enjoyment within a 20 minute drive.
Great Golf course
Excellent environment great for Pro's and beginners alike! Make sure to check out their dining room, I had the most delicious burger and french fries. The staff were very welcoming and kind.
Played it and crossed off my lust
Unfortunately this course was in dreadful shape. The fairways were barren of any grass. The rough hadn’t been cut in weeks. The greens were being taken over by weeds. The most prominent grass was crab grass throughout the course. It is a shame because the layout is challenging and the staff was very accommodating. The course is in dire need of maintenance as it looks absolutely neglected. Such a shame.
Very rough
The grass looked like it had not been cut in weeks. Sand all over the course. Greens in good shape. Bunkers full of water but nothing you can do about that due to the storms dead grass everywhere in fare ways.
The course lay out is really nice. It has lot of potential to become one of the top courses there. Fairways and greens need to improve. It needs lot of tender care and attention to make it a course that would stand out. We enjoyed playing there.
Fair play - decent for money
Fairways and tee boxes had a lot of bare spots; not much grass.
Sand traps need work.
Greens were bumpy; could use better grass.
Not the Course it Once Was
A great layout that is in serious need of maintenance. The tee boxes are weedy. Several bare areas in the fairways, and inconsistent greens, no range.
New Owner Same Course
This is the course I've played most in my life, it was always a cheap $25 below average quality course but for the money I wasn't going to complain. It was the closest course and fun enough to make up for sandy fairways and rough unpredictable greens. About a year ago the course came under new ownership that made it very clear that no expense would be spared in improving the quality of the course, something desperately needed. After taking about a 6 month break from playing here I came back to find it in the worst shape I've seen it in years. Weeds in bunkers, sand in fairways, and crab grass all over every green, none of which played at the same speed. I'm not the greatest golfer, but I do know this course well, and I can definitely say it's in the worst shape I have ever seen it. Not to mention the cart we were given died on Hole 1, then the replacement started stuttering and couldn't climb hills by Hole 13. An all around mess, can't recommend this course anymore. Shame to see it go this way.
