Golfer Reviews
Golfer beware
This is the worst condition golf course I’ve played in Florida.
Weeds everywhere, cart paths are broader line dangerous they are so broken.
I generally don’t write this kind of review but people need to know.
Local course
I think the course is in good shape all things considered. I think the new owner is doing a great job getting things moving in the right direction. Like all courses there are some warts but overall the course is in good shape. I have only been in the lounge once but was impressed with both the quality and the quantity of food. It was well staffed with friendly capable people.
Hoping for More
I love playing on the course, but the fairways and tee boxes are not in good shape. Even in the middle of the fairway you feel like your in the rough or some type of ground under repair.
Staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help if needed.
I hope they can get the fairways under control.
Rough around the edges
This is an older course that is showing it’s age. Greens are very good and fast but the rest of the course is rough around the edges. It was also a 5 hour round. Way too long.
Don't do it!
Course conditions are awful, and I got sprayed by a sprinkler on 15. They're doing tee box maintenance while im teeing off. (groundskeeper was at every tee box I was on)So many patches in the fairway. I think the course layout is fantastic it just needs some TLC.
"Dog Track" Was Already Used
No range - 2 cages which several players used so no one else could - and a horrible practice green greets players. Tee boxes in need of work ("... but you should have seen them before the new owner took over ..."); fairways (hard to tell from back yards of the surrounding houses) had more weeds and rocks than grass; and greens with bare areas (not spots) had more chickweed and clover as anything even resembling a putting surface.
I played 9 holes in slightly under 3 hours and quit. Players seem to walk and drive around aimlessly on course as ranger drove by.
Suggest that Martin County needs housing more than a laughable golf course.
Great Golf Course Layout
No matter which tee box you selected, you will enjoy the golf course. Wide landing areas for your drives and the houses are not in play! Nice challenging Par 3s and a few long Par 5s; a great and fun round of golf. As for the course condition, we had to slightly move our balls a few times in the fairways. Greens were nice and a good speed.
