Martin Downs Country Club - Osprey Creek Course

The fairways are in horrible condition. Brown and bare.

The traps have almost no sand in them. The greens

were in good shape.

I have played before. I really like the layout but each time I go more crabgrass has grown into and around every fairway. And, this last time, I am my friend played as two, and on the first tee were slotted behind a group of five. Only after complaining did they break up this group, but they always seemed to be bunched together.

Its a shame the crabgrass has taken over.

For the money it was worth it. We got paired up with a couple of guys. Fairways not bad and green were ok.

Great course with some respectable yardage and soft but fast greens. I particularly liked that I got to pull out the driver a lot. The greens were protected enough so you had to hit respectable approach shots. I’ll be back.

I found the overall visit to Martin Downs (Osprey Golf Course) a very pleasing outing. The staff was friendly, facilities very clean, and the rates comparable to courses of equal status. I drove from Hollywood Fl to play this course because my first visit was so enjoyable! Food prices a bit high but it is certainly a course that deserves high marks! BB

Nice course still needs work but the new owners are making it better. I am sure next year it will be great

Course conditions slowly getting better. 1st time back since new owners. Had delays teeing off at scheduled tee time due to back up.

We played last weekend in a golf tournament and the staff and food services people were great. The course is fair and challenging. The greens were lightning and I gave back a lot of strokes there. This course is on the rise back to prominence and Mr. Stanley Campbell (Owner) is a very impressive and friendly man. He took the time to speak to our group and invite us back personally. I will certainly play here again!

The course is in terrible condition (although the greens were fine) and nowhere near what it cost to play. The pace of play was awful and there were no rangers to facilitate it. We will never go back!.
