Martin Downs Country Club - Osprey Creek Course

I like the layout but the course needs upgrading especially the fairways. They are in poor condition.

Friendly staff, nice latout, course conditions need improving ( fairways pretty bare, greens also marginal)

I like the course at first the pace of play is beyond rush, up to 3-4 groups at on one hole.

Best part of the course was the golf cart attendant and the young man behind the counter in the golf shop. Both very friendly. The course itself was in horrible condition from the fairways to the greens. Bald spots, sand patches and weeds on both the fairway and greens. Very sad. To add to it, I was a twosome behind two other sets of two. We were constantly standing and waiting. Almost 3 hours for 9 holes. Then we went for a beer in the clubhouse. Hostess/waitress served us at the bar as bartender was around the corner talking. When she finally came back behind the bar. She did not acknowledge us and then walked away again to continue her conversation away from us. Very rude. Will not play here again.

Pace of play - excellent not many people

Course conditions - greens ok, fairways need grass. Didn't play in the sand.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Value is a relative. I might practice on this course but I wouldn't recommend it for a great vacation round.

The course does have some interesting holes. Some grass seed and fertilizer could make it great.

Beautiful clubhouse. Good food. Greens are good. Fairways need work. Worth it.

I have played the course many times over the last ten years and the new owner has done an excellent job getting the course back to how it used to be. He should be proud of himself.

The course is fair, the T boxes can use some maintenance, the layout is okay, should have better markings specifically for a first timer.
