Buffalo Creek Golf Course

Our round was 5 plus hours. The group in front of office thought they were playing the US Open. Fell way behind group ahead of them. Green play was incredibly slow. Two suggestion 1) 7 minute gaps between tee times slows play down enormously, 10 minutes gaps would solve the problem. 2) Having rangers on the course to encourage faster play might solve the slow play.

I live on a very nice course in Augusta so when I compliment a course as a new favorite, you can be sure it's got something going for it.It's hard to keep a golf course nice in the winter but you can tell, this place makes an effort. The fairways and tee boxes are overseeded nicely so most places you have turf to hit off of. They must have a lot of play or some negligent golfers because there are a LOT of unsanded divots. There's just enough difficulty in shot placement to make it interesting but not daunting. the sand bunkers could have been improved somewhat but are still better than most mid level courses. One of the most outstanding of their features were the greens. they had been recently sprayed with a liquid green spray so they looked very good. There are bare spots, here and there but they are sanded and being repaired where necessary. Putts run true, I think. Some of the greens have severe slope. I really liked the layout and I will be back if I can arrange a tee time that suits my desires.

The course is in fairly good condition. The greens need maintenance, are getting worst between January and now. The pace of play has been long because of the players (Friday afternoon). Recommend this course

Buffalo Creek is in better shape than last year and I think it is good value. Kudos to the greenskeeping staff that have improved tees, fairways and greens

However, I have 2 things I don't like about it though.

1. Pace of play was therrible yesterday, we teed off at 11:47 and every tee we got to there was a group waiting to hit. The round took just over 5 hrs. Tee times are too tightly packed, 2 every 15 mins.

2. Not enough carts, if you have a tee time after 12 on a busy day you most likely will wait for a cart as the early time has not finished yet (5 hr rounds will do that)

I think spacing out the tee times would fix both issues.

I rated overall a 3 star, but I think it is more like 3.5 star

tee boxes fairways and greens were in good shape. Play was slow. Tee times too close together.

I selected this course because I found a Hot Deal on Golf Now. Using my $10 off coupon, the round was only $30, which turned out to be an acceptable value. I would not pay more. The greens are in abysmal condition. The painting of them provides a kind of science fiction effect. The course was jammed up, which might be correctable with more assertive rangering, Very importantly, the people working at this course were most helpful and friendly. I felt welcomed, as they went beyond expectations in providing the best possible experience for me. I arrived early because I needed to leave at a certain time, and they were able to get me off in an earlier group. I was on 14 when it was time for me to go, and a ranger came out and picked me up and took me to my car. That is service!

Course is in great shape. Always full. To many golfers. Other than that Buffalo is a really good golf course.

We’ve played this course before which is why we came back but this time it was so poorly managed(not managed), There was no ranger and the waiting time on each hole was horrendous. There were twosomes going off, big part of the problem, only time we saw the ranger was when he rode around telling everyone they need to be off the course at 6:15. We were unable to complete our round been though we had time. Very disappointing!

Over 5 hours to play and skipped 2 holes. Don’t know why they pay a ranger, he doesn’t do anything. Watched him drive by a young couple where the guy was giving the girl a lesson. She hit multiple shots and the whole time there was a group waiting in the fairway and multiple groups on the tee.

It took 2:50 to play the front. We are VERY UNHAPPY that the course made no effort via Rangers to speed things up. We quit after 9 because we would havmve finished after dark (12:45 tee time).

Excellent staff here. Course is in average condition for this time of year. Starters are great guys but, they try to get ahead of tee times which causes back ups on the first 3 holes. Usually 4.5 hour rounds
