About
Editor's Note: The Meadows Course is currently closed, due to the damage from Hurricane Michael. See Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course listing for the remaining 18 holes that are still open.
Bay Point offers two scenic championship courses that are situated right along the Emerald Coast overlooking the pristine waters of St. Andrews Bay. Both golf courses offer a unique experience but the same beautiful scenery. The Meadows Course is classic country club golf with a playability that endures day in and day out. The layout features tight fairways, numerous bunkers, and lakes that present different challenges every time you play. The course is also heavily wooded with trees lining the fairways. One feature of the design that never changes though, is that it always demands accuracy and careful strategy. At 6,913 yards, the golf course allows long hitters to really shine. Bay Point's two 18-hole courses are complemented by practice facilities that include an immaculately manicured putting green and driving range.

It's the best course for the $ in Panama City Bch.
Bay Point is the best course for the$ in PCB...check it out!!!
Very nice course - forgiving yet challenging.
Bay Point Meadows is a very nice course with comfortable features, i.e., not too intimidating for the average golfer like myself. The course could be marked a little better - specific distances for par 3s, approach shots, 100-yard marker, etc. are difficult to determine.
Always in great shape and look forward to playing.
The course is well maintained, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Look forward to playing every chance I get.
slow but true
Everything at this place are great....although the greens are a little slow. They overseed so they are true but on the slow side. Great place to play, challenging course but fun to play.
Great fundamental workout!
40yr old greens didn't look a day over 5yrs! Everything stuck where struck -great for the master chipman. Long fairways & great balance of sand and water hazards. Forgiving course but not easy if not on your game. Deep rough hides errant shots making ball sighting for the eagle eyed players only. Had great fun!!
GREAT EXPERIENCE...FROM CLUBHOUSE TO FINAL GREEN
I was a single and booked my "hot deal" tee time w/GN.com; what a GREAT DEAL! When I got to the course, weather had delayed a small tournament and so I was going to be behind the tournament all day. Knowing daylight would push me to complete the round, I asked and was given the option to move to the Nicklaus course for $10 more! I said, "let's do it" and was paired up with two other singles (a man and a woman) and both were great to play with. Our pace was great, we had a great time and I finished in 3 1/2 hours! My game was really "rusty" due to recent back surgery, but we all had a great time.
Needs a refresh
Older course in good shape. Poor forward tees - my wife did not enjoyed their small size and uneven feature. This course would be greatly improved with investment in a facelift.
Stay away in November
First time in the area and wanted to try what I thought was a top notch course. They had recently overseeded and no mention of it was made at any time. The tees and greens were quite long and fuzzy. Everything was soaking wet. I realize now this is done every fall and will be more aware in the future. The course is a typical Florida resort course. Nothing dramatic about it at all. Living in the midwest I am used to more interesting designs. If booking on golfnow, be aware of a course policy that insists on you waiting for your exact tee time even if the course if empty. That may be the right thing to do if busy but not when empty. All in all not a great experience.
Long, long, long
Meadows plays longer than the yardage book. Played the Nicklaus course a year ago and much easier ... pay the extra $10 bucks for it.
Hole #10 was under water in the landing area off the tee ... hole should have been closed the day we played.
Course in decent shape but just too long for a couple of bogey golfers, even from the front tees.
Very nice on the outside, not so great on the course!
This course appears to be a high quality, championship course. We were met at the car by a cordial person who loaded our clubs and took care of us, calling the clubhouse to say we had arrived. Checking in at the clubhouse was easy. The course's fairways were muddy and wet and there hasn't been rain in several days. The grass on the greens was high. but with some bare patches. The greens were slow and in terible shape, worse than I've ever played on and that includes a backwoods course that costs $5. The course is fun to play, but obvious breaks on the greens didn't happen due to the condition. If you change your mindset and adjust to that, you'll enjoy the course. Our play was slow due to a group of 6 playing a "little best ball". There was a starter, but no marshall on the course (that we saw). the group of slow players finally let us play through at hole #8! Just expected more.
The course was very wet, almost got stuck in golf cart
I'm sure the course would have been fine in dry conditions, but it should have not been open that day. There was water standing in some of the fairways.
Friendly staff and well maintained.
As a beginner golfer I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I look forward to playing here again.
Greens were not in great shape but still rolled well. Too much rain is my guess.
Great track with nice features and well maintained.
Good average course
Greens needed work, but good course overall. Course is forty years old, which had good and bad points. Genes and approach were very soft. No roll to speak of, so you had to hit your target.
nice layout
Enjoyed playing course, had its challenging spots but would play well for any type of golfer. Liked that it had plenty of tees for all level of golfers!!
The fairways are good!
The course does a contest (match ur buck). The fairways are in great shape.
Aim for the 150 yard markers!!
I have no issues with the golf course. It was in good condition, staff were friendly and helpful. The problem is for someone who has never played the course there are no yardage books available, the hole diagram is not on the score card or the tee markers. It would be very helpful if you knew the location of the greens and where the trouble is when standing on the tee. If you play this course for the first time, my advise is aim for the 150 yard markers, at least you can see them on the par 4s. good luck to you!!
Overall a nice course
Course was in real good shape. Only a couple of rough spots on the greens. Chalenging and enjoyable round of golf
Somewhat challenging with surpise water hazards
This is an older style course. You should probably have a picture book of the course because their are surprise water holes that aren't visible from the tee's. It has some holes with tight tee shots. Course is well maintained.
This is a wonderful course!
It had rained for 2 days before we played and it rained the morning of. We tee'd off at 2:00 PM and the course was almost completely dried(Great drainage). The greens were in very good shape and the fairways even better. This course will lull you into a false sense of security - then bam - double boogie. I do not know why this course plays harder than it looks but it does. I believe I play the Nicklaus course better - could be I just focus more - but don't kid yourself - you better focus just as much on this one. Overall a great round of golf! Highly recommended.
