About
Editor's Note: The Meadows Course is currently closed, due to the damage from Hurricane Michael. See Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course listing for the remaining 18 holes that are still open.
Bay Point offers two scenic championship courses that are situated right along the Emerald Coast overlooking the pristine waters of St. Andrews Bay. Both golf courses offer a unique experience but the same beautiful scenery. The Meadows Course is classic country club golf with a playability that endures day in and day out. The layout features tight fairways, numerous bunkers, and lakes that present different challenges every time you play. The course is also heavily wooded with trees lining the fairways. One feature of the design that never changes though, is that it always demands accuracy and careful strategy. At 6,913 yards, the golf course allows long hitters to really shine. Bay Point's two 18-hole courses are complemented by practice facilities that include an immaculately manicured putting green and driving range.

Good Course but Greens in terrible shape.
Second Year in a row I have played this course. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. They just had the greens redone, so they were very slow and very sandy. I had to stop putting out because the greens were so bad. Overall another good experience, I will be back and hopefully the greens will be fixed.
Bay point meadows
I played this course 5 days after it was aerated, but the course was still in great condition. I can't wait to get back and play it again when it's in normal condition. Highly recommend the course. Staff was great!
Generous fairways
Need hole layouts either on scorecards or hole yardage signs; we had no idea. Found trouble after going to ball. Pretty good course- would play again
Interesting Course
The staff was great. The lady working the register had multiple calls with lots of questions but took care of us quickly and friendly. The course is an interesting layout. There are many blind doglegs and if you are average or above off the tee, driver may not be the right club. It's probably worth the money to buy the guide book. Overall the course is in great shape but a couple of holes had overhanging tree limbs that interfered with our tee shots.
GREAT COURSE
GO AND PLAY ITS A BLAST AND BRING SOME BALLS. EITHER COURSE WILL KEEP YOU ENTERTAINED.
Will look for higher quality conditions tomorrow in PCB
We were very pleased with the level of service from the workers. They were very welcoming and friendly. This is definitely the type of course that is concerned with looks though. My boyfriend and I flew on the airline, so we only brought one bag with about 20 clubs in it. It is a brand new nike oversized cart bag. The starter brought me an old bag and asked me to put clubs in it because he said the members would be upset for 2 players and only one bag on cart. Keep in mind the only clubs we were sharing were 4iron-9iron. I brought all my own wedges, putter, driver and fairway woods. Being as we don't hit the same distance for each club (man and woman) we have no problem sharing clubs. I recall one time in the round I needed to wait on the same club he used. He finished in 3hrs 50min. I am a woman that plays men's clubs anyhow, as long as they are not stiff shafted. I felt odd that they wanted to keep up appearances, and insisted on us taking their loaner bag as to not offend the members. As you can see by the photos I posted, this is a messy course. We paid over $100 for 2 people. Definitely expected better course conditions based upon the rules. We also saw people playing in jeans. Not sure why they could break the dress code, but we couldn't share a golf bag? We also were very displeased with the lack of cart paths. What cart paths there were had holes and cracks. Our cart breaked so loud that people playing behind us and ahead of us kept whipping their heads around looking at what was making the noise. Definitely an uncomfortable experience, minus the friendly staff that did make us feel welcomed.
disrespect
We were 1 hour early for our tee time and used the practice facilities. We arrived at the tee blocks 1/2 hour early and there was no one in front of us or waiting. After 5 minutes a starter showed up and told us because we had booked via Golf Now we must wait until our appointed time. Once the appointed time arrived, we were sent off with 2 twosomes immediately behind us. We never saw anyone in front of us the entire round. We had been told when we arrived that there was no one in front of us or nor would there be anyone behind us. The gentleman who set us up with our cart and helped with our bags was extremely friendly and courteous, it was only the pro shop we found disrespectful.
Very good course
Course was in good condition, greens rolled good and fairways were good. Course had a lot of sand traps, which I took the scenic route through. Some of those traps were very hard and had not been raked. Really liked the course except for that.
Nice course
We really enjoyed our round. The staff were all very nice. Most places that i have booked thru Golf Now Have not been so receptive to us being on there course. The starter by the name of John was so nice and very informative .He made the start of our round Great .We will be in Panama Beach until the end of Feb and will be returning for some more golf.
Meadows course
This is a nice course. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were in excellent shape. It is not an extremely difficult course, but you do have many blind shots. A cart GPS would be nice. The back nine seemed more challenging to me as the front nine seemed like you were playing the same hole over and over. Overall it is a nice course and I would play it again.
Need more tee boxes
Difference between tee box 3 (seniors) and 4 (ladies) is too great, almost 800 yards. Seniors is 5919, and ladies is 5140. Need a tee box around 5400 to 5500 as an option.
Also , pace of play was very slow. We had a foursome and had to wait on every hole. Finally went around the group in front of us by having to skip a hole. Course was wide open then. Having a Marshall could have helped with this.
Enjoyed the round...will do again.
Didn't have my clubs out of the truck before Shag stopped with a helping hand & greeting. He showed me around and offered some suggestions. As a single and new to this course, I was happy to be paired with a couple of guys who new the course. They were friendly enough & clued me in to the different layouts of the fairways.
It was unfortunate that we were only able to play twelve holes before it was too dark to continue.
An unexpected pleasure
The Meadows is a fair test of golf. Not overly tough. Greens and fairways were in very good condition, however the day we played, ad storm had blown through teh day before, and the greens had small debris all over them, making putting an experience.
Other than that, come play this course.
very nice course
my son in law and I wanted to play a little nicer course than we normally play. this definitely fit the bill. the meadows course was very nice and also discounted right now BECAUSE of the renovations. the staff was extremely helpful with many great recommendations. we also took advantage of the $25 replay option and played twice. great day of golf and would definitely recommend.
No amenities
Disappointed in staff. Told them it was first time playing and they didn't offer anything extra that would make me want to come back. Water only on course twice but beverage cart came around every 5 holes or so. Not sure if would play again unless got a good deal. Cost was same on golf now as at the course. Good to know for future bookings.
This course is a solid value
Enjoy playing Meadows regularly during the year as I now live close by. Staff is always friendly, but I have noticed a deterioration in the amenities (i.e. restaurant is closed and no. of staff has decreased in recent weeks. )
Great Golf Course
Great course, better yet great people running it. The fairways are tight and the rough is lush, so if you hit your ball in it your going to have a hard time finding it and a harder time getting out of it. The greens are well taken care of and the bunkers and sand traps add to the difficulty of the course, but they don't overwhelm the average golfer. When we golfed the temperature was 96 to 98 degrees and we were able to breeze through the course without being held up by other golfers. Loved the course and went back for a second time. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be challenged a little and at the same time wants to golf on a great course.
Not Exactly Friendly
Course recently aerated, not quite smoothed out yet. Fairways in nice condition. Surprisingly, no GPS on carts and no course layout on scorecard or hole layout on tee markers! Not every hole layout evident from tee box. So bring your own GPS, play with local or consider buying yardage book. BEWARE: only one food & bevg cart out covering BOTH COURSES! AND 19th hole is closed until end of year!! If you are thirsty or worse, hungry, you better have brought something with you. The maintenance workers showed more compassion with our needs than the starter did. We did not finish the round because we were so hungry.
Baypointe Meadows
Beautiful course. Good price. My husband and my son actually played the course. I just booked it but they were very pleased.
