About
Editor's Note: The Meadows Course is currently closed, due to the damage from Hurricane Michael. See Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course listing for the remaining 18 holes that are still open.
Bay Point offers two scenic championship courses that are situated right along the Emerald Coast overlooking the pristine waters of St. Andrews Bay. Both golf courses offer a unique experience but the same beautiful scenery. The Meadows Course is classic country club golf with a playability that endures day in and day out. The layout features tight fairways, numerous bunkers, and lakes that present different challenges every time you play. The course is also heavily wooded with trees lining the fairways. One feature of the design that never changes though, is that it always demands accuracy and careful strategy. At 6,913 yards, the golf course allows long hitters to really shine. Bay Point's two 18-hole courses are complemented by practice facilities that include an immaculately manicured putting green and driving range.

lovely course, well kept
enjoyed playing , narrow fairways with lots of trees make it more difficult. both fairway and green are in good condition. will play again!
The only thing worse than the condition of the course was the unfriendly and poor attitude of the proshop staff and 1st tee starter.
Very disappointing condition of the course. Fairways had little green grass on them, greens had some type of dark fungus or algea on them that made them bumpy and inconsistent, sand in the traps was inconsitent (some had very little sub-surface sand in them), lots of weedy growth on collars of the greens. One should pay no more than $25 to play this course.
When I signed in at the pro shop I announced my name and tee time, the clerk pressed some buttons on the register, handed me my receipt and I walked out. No hello, welcome, thank you or anything from the proshop staff. When I went to the 1st tee, I gave my name and tee time to the starter. My name was not on his tee sheet. I showed him my receipt and he confirmed my time with the pro shop via radio. The starter was not friendly or receptive. I commented that I had the distinct feeling that the resort did not care for Golf Now customers. He basically agreed saying, "We don't get anything out of it." I'm not exactly sure what he meant but could only assume they work off commissions and don't receive any commission from the reduced rates Golf Now offers.
I had a similar experience at this course last year but, unfortunately, was not requested to submit a review by Golf Now. After my round on that day, I went to the proshop to file a complaint only to find that the shop manager and the person I was going to complain about was the same person! I have to believe that his poor behavior and attitude carries through to his staff.
I strongly recommend that upper management either provide customer service training to their staff or discontinue business with Golf Now.
Needs a course layout card.
I golfed this course for the first time and was surprised by the great conditions, however for the first time playing it I felt the need for a course layout would have been nice as you couldn't tell from the tee boxes on doglegs if they were right or left.
Enjoyed the course and will play it again.
Great course. Greens are perfect. Trees always in the way.
If you want a great challenge in Pamama Beach City florida you definately won't be disappointed here.
Fun and yet still is not a push over course..
Teed off at 1 pm as a 3 some and sailed around the course in little over 3 hrs..The groups we caught were very good about letting us thru..Greens were great but I think the greens keeper must of been having a bad day because several holes were 6 ft or so from the edge of the greens and on slopes, and with the speed of the greens made putting sometimes very challenging. All in all it was a great course and a pleasure to play..
Greens are true and in great shape.
Excellent greens--large,but challenging with some tough pin placements. Well trapped, but sand in excellent condition. No straight holes. Lots of woods. Fairways average, some narrow--none wide. Cart paths need work. Course oversold--long wait for cart. Tee time 30 min late. No map of course on cart.
Very nice for the money
We originally intended to play the Nicklaus course, but, it was being aerated. So, our foursome played the Meadows for about $40 per person and was really pleased.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was packed that day and one of the marshals/ranger came up to us every two holes telling us to pick up the pace. I got frustrated because we were having to wait on a twosome in front of us that wouldn't let us play through, yet he would ride by them without saying a word.
Other than that, great course.
Good shape old course
Course was in good shape and the staff was great even though I had booked on a Hot Deal. Felt like I was playing the same club all day. Yardage was too close. Not my favorite in this area. Haven't played the Nickalus Corse yet but will give it a try. Other people tell me it is much better.
Straight hitters on some hole are a great plus!
We played the course several years ago. Enjoyed it then and enjoyed it again. Would recommend playing it when you go to Bay Point.
Nothing special.
Course was in fine shape but a very bland design. Felt like I played the same hole 18 times. If you're going to play at the resort once definitely pay the extra money and play the Nicklaus course.
Pretty course with some hidden water.
We had a good time in a reasonable time period. We found some water without any lateral hazard stakes.
Beware of Hot Deals here
I purchased the tee time at this course for two people at the Hot Deals price 4 days in advance. On the day of the round the weather forecast was for thunder showers throughout the day. Bay Point has a policy of never closing the course, and wouldn't work around it, but the policy of the Golf Now Hot Deals there is no refund unless the course closes play. Therefore, we were forced to either lose the money or play the round, which is what we did. And though there was never any thunder, we did play through a steady rain up to the point of the strong downpour that flooded the greens beyond play. So, being completely drenched, we decided to just pack up and go back to our suite, not the most enjoyable golf experience.
