Legacy Golf Club
About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Best golf course at PCB
Very nice course. Great golf from tee to green. Sometimes hard to find ball in rough, but great all around golf course.
Fun to play!
Course was a lot of fun to play. We had a downpour just before tee off but the course was so maintained it handled it to my surprise. Greens were still fast with no water. Even the bunkers were playable.
Ok course, nickel and dime attitude
The course is a decent layout, nice greens. Not too challenging but enough to make you hit good shots. The weather was very poor when we played so it probably is a lot better when it’s not so wet.
The problem I had is with the way they try to milk every dollar they can out of their customers. First of all, it’s $110 green fee, and it is definitely not worth that rate. However bay point has temp greens and hombre is closed so they know they can get pretty much whatever they want. We couldn’t finish our round because of rain so we got a rain check for 9 holes and came back the next day to play. We were told that since their 9 hole rate is higher than 18 holes, we had to pay an additional $20! Who doesn’t honor a rain check at the rate that was paid? Just very tasteless and low class.
Oh, and they also have NO water coolers on the course in 90+ heat in Florida because they want you to buy their $4 water bottles. Also, you are given a “starter” bag of balls before your round which has maybe 15 balls, but of course you have to buy more balls if you want to hit more.
Will not be coming back here once Bay Point gets their greens back.
IT IS WHAT IT IS
The Good ……Greens we’re Great, Course was in very good condition, greatly improved over the last time I played it 2 years ago…
The Not So Good- Course layout is boring. A ton of dogleg rights (hate ) and a ton of 360 yard nothing special par 4’s. There truly is not one memorable hole on the course….
THE UGLY- $120 ….seriously??? Arguably the most overpriced course in America…it’s no wonder I was able to get a 7:00 am tee time on Saturday by booking the night before!
NOTE: You are warned about the price! PLEASE do not take it out on the Pro Shop workers or starter….They don’t set the Prices!
Course was in good shape. Golf now discount made round worthy as course prices have increased since last time I played. Long par threes. Greens are big and rolled pretty good, however, Some folks need to learn to repair their ball marks on greens.
Great day
Course was in great shape. Fairways were soft and greens were fast but smooth and rolled true.
Best deal in Panama City Beach
Course was in great shape, however if you are a right to left player, you will be challenged. If you play the ball left to right, the course is set up great for you!
This coarse was challenging and fun
I would recommend this coarse for a challenging but not to hard golf experience

Wow, playing golf here was like traveling back in time to the late 70’s. The houses on the course, the club house, and the golf range all have not changed. The layout was fairly boring and it smelled. That being said it was in pretty good shape and the greens ran true. I payed 100 for a last minute morning tee time which was about 50 too much.
