Legacy Golf Club
About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Awesome greens
Course was in really good condition. Greens were almost perfect. Fairly challenging course that will reward you for good shots and penalize you for errant shots. Overall, a very good experience and would definitely play again.
Classic FLA Course
Holiday GC is what you expect in Florida: lush, lots of water, sand, heat, etc. This was a fun course and one you should definitely play in the PCB area. Fairways are lush (with more filled divots than I've ever seen). Greens were a bit slow as they'd been aerated lately. Took a while to figure out the breaks. Rough will grab you if you find it. Some tough par-3s particularly when the PM breezes blow. Biggest challenge are several dogleg holes where you'll need to cut the dogleg (tight!) or face a long 2nd shot.
No water, but there are drink carts on the front and back nine. The course is very well marked on every sprinkler head. What is not well marked are the water hazards, several of which line holes. Not a red stake to be seen. Speaking of colors, the blue flags (marking pin is back) are so faded they're indistinguishable from whites.

Nice course
Played here.many years ago. Much improved fairways and greens. Layout is left to right except for one dogleg left. Fairly wide open with sugary sand traps. Front nine goes around the outside of a lake and small tributaries and the back nine follows that same track but inside the front nine. Because of the lack of land many greens and teebox area are close to each other. As you already know tif eagle greens are difficult to spin for the average golfer but they are durable and they putted very smooth. Two friendly attractive ladies where working the beverage cart and we saw them multiple times. The complex is very nice with driving range and lighted par three course adjacent to the main course. Very pleased except for three double bogey holes. Seriously course was good.
Thank you for your detailed review! We are pleased you enjoyed our extensive course renovations. We look forward to your next round at Holiday! - Richie Edwards, Director of Golf
Could be so much better!
The golf carts need to have rain covers for the clubs. That's a very common thing now. There is only one water fountain (not cold) on each side, which is the same location. No cups or ice available on the course. There should be a water bucket set up every 2 or 3 holes, like most courses, especially for the price you have to pay to play there. The first cut of rough off the fairway is too high. Needs to be cut down half as high. You should not be penalized for missing the fairway by a foot.
I noticed your comments appeared twice on our review page, Again, we appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to better Holiday. -Richie Edwards, Director of Golf
A few changes are needed!
The golf carts need to have pull-down rain covers added for the clubs. It rains a lot in PCB! The first cut of rough is too high. It needs to be cut half as long. You should not be penalized for missing the fairway by a foot! There should be water stations located every 2 or 3 holes. Now, there is only one, and it's a water fountain, and it's not cold! No cups either to take some with you. Locals know this, but out of town guests suffer. It gets hot in PCB!
Thank you for your review and suggestions. We appreciate you taking time to let us know how we can better accommodate our golfers - Richie Edwards, Director of Golf
Solid track
Prob 6th time I've played this track. Best it's ever been everything from tee to green was perfect. Still little pricey I feel like but average for pcb. U won't regret playing this one
We appreciate your patronage! Thank you for choosing Holiday! - Richie Edwards, Director of Golf
A fun course to play
The course was in great shape. Most holes are very forgiving although there is some sneaky water on several holes. The sneaky water isn't really in play on most holes, only on off target shots. Pay attention to the signs and card and you should be fine. We would definitely play this course again.
Thank you for your 5 star rating! We look forward to your next round at Holiday! - Richie Edwards, Director of Golf
great course
Course is in great condition and they do have the best greens in PCB. Usually very busy so pace of play is slow. One water stop on the course so you would expect the drink cart to be a bit faster especially in the Florida heat. Highly recommended course.

Nice fair layout
Nice course, easy to play but if you play back tees challenges anyone. Great greens and staff!
Thank you for your review of our course! We are pleased you had an enjoyable round. Thanks for choosing Holiday! - Richie Edwards, Director of Golf
Great Fairways and Greens
Arrived at course as a single player who booked round through Golf Now. Staff was extremely courteous, and informed me immediately that my booking had gone through, and placed me with two other players. Weather was excellent, and course fairways and greens could not have been better. Pace of play was extremely good, and course markings as to directions, and yardage were good. Visited the golf restaurant, and everything was good.
Thank you for your great review! We are extremely happy you enjoyed your round. Thanks for playing Holiday!

Only 9 holes open
I was very disappointed to find out that only 9 holes were open, I paid for 18 online. They did give me the clubs rentals for free but still don't understand why this info was not online when I booked.
Thank you for posting your review. We apologize for the mixup and we will make sure to list future course maintenance on our website. We hope to see you back at Holiday.

Greens Are Awesome!
Some of the purest putting surfaces you could ask for. Course was in okay shape tee to green but once you got to the greens, it was sure not to disappoint. Will definitely play this course again next time I am in the area. Played Hombre this trip as well and there greens were awful. If putting surfaces are important to you, Holiday has the best on the beach!!
Thank you for your review! We are thrilled you enjoyed our new greens and we look forward to your next visit.

Very enjoyable round
Course was in great shape. Greens very smooth, held and putted well. Lots of slope to the greens made putting a challenge. Enjoyed the course layout. No water coolers on the course, so bottled water is a must. Pace was ok, took 4:45 for our foursome. The lady in the pro shop was very helpful. Staff in the clubhouse were friendly, and $2 for a draft beer was petty good also!
We are glad you had a very enjoyable round! Thank you for your review and we hope to see you back at Holiday soon.

Great greens
The cost to play without the deals from Golfnow is fairly expensive for me. Having said that if cost wasn't a consideration I would be happy playing here every day.
Thank you for taking the time to review our course. We appreciate you stating that you would be happy playing here every day!

Nice conditon for the spring
As stated the course was good condition, fairways mowed & green, rough still coming alive, the greens are some of the best around. The only draw back was the girl in the pro shop didn't go out of her way to welcome you.
4 hr round as a forsome which was ok considering how busy things where.
Thank you for playing Holiday! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the conditions of the course. Our Pace of Play is 4 hrs 15 mins and we are pleased you experienced a 4 hour round on a busy day. We hope to see you back at the course soon.
