A decent course. Fast greens, neat layout with a mix of long par 4s and a couple of risk/reward short par 4s (290-320 yds). Decent pro shop, good restaurant/snack shack. A terrible looking driving range not fit to be a cow pasture. But, the practice green is trump tight! The speed mirrored the actual greens. Interesting no roof golf carts to boot. Decent priced.

Good Condition?
Last played 10 yrs ago. Disappointed in course conditions, especially the fairways, Green were in good shape. Recommendation is spend a little more and get more enjoyment out of your round.

A few challenging holes, you definitely need to know where to leave your t-shot on #1 handicapped due to severe slop of the fairway.

Great day!
It was a great day for golf. The weather was nice with little wind. The pace was good, just over three hours for the round. The fairways were dry do to the drought conditions and the ball rolled well. I always enjoy putting at Rancho Maria. The greens are fast and well maintained.

great layout
layout, fun factor and greens almost made up for course neglect- it is sad they are letting conditions deteriorate because we really enjoyed playing here

Great escape
Unfortunately I’m from Bakersfield where the temperature has been over 100 degrees these past 8 days or so. So it’s nice to take the two hour drive to get some golf in with the weather at 75 or so. It’s definitely worth the out of town travel at least once per month. Rancho Maria is in excellent shape especially for the price and looking forward to visit a few more times this summer.

Hidden Gem
Club house isn't impressive. But, staff friendliness and the comfortable neighborly feel is tops. This place has charm like a comfortable glove. The course fairway condition isn't anything to write about (watch out dentures), but the greens are in great shape as they hold their putts. I liked the course design and layout as each hole presented it's own challenges. My most memorable was the big tree guarding the 16th green. This is a players course.
