Rancho never fails
I consider it a local gem.
I feel like you get a bank for your buck, can the staff be a bit nicer? sure thing! More like the ladies taking care of the snack shop.
Was really busy, but it was to be expected, and even then wasn't too bad.

Love this course. Layout is great except for all the dead trees. The greens are nice. The fairways and around the greens and iffy but have gotten a lot better. Hopefully they never increase the rates again or else I won’t be able to go so often.

A gorgeous day on the central coast. Beautiful weather and very little people. Pace of play was very good.

Hot Deal!
Scored a great last minute Hot Deal on Golf Now! Played with 3 other people I didn't know, but I think we all had fun. The pro shop assigned a man to ride with me in my cart but they let us get another cart after I asked for one. I'm glad I did because the other player smoked cigarettes during the entire round and I'm a non-smoker.
The weather was perfect...I wore short sleeves for most of the round. The greens were pretty quick. The fairways are wide but don't venture off them or you'll have some interesting challenges.

Greens!
Greens seem to be getting back to normal (fast). Everything is pretty good compared to other courses like it. T boxes could be better.

Interesting landscape
The staff is very friendly, greens were in excellent condition and it’s just a really fun four hours!

Covid warning
Very disappointed.
Will not be booking with GolfNow at Rancho Maria anymore.
After explaining to the person at the front counter for check-in that I was concerned about having to share a cart with someone I was unfamiliar with because of the risk for Covid and further explaining that I was a cancer survivor and had compromised immune system I was told that because it was booked through GolfNow I would have to share a cart.
I opted to walk the 18 holes with my handcart rather than take a chance..
I guess they think the pandemic is over .
They need to watch the news.

Great Golfnow Rate
I got a great golfnow rate, however, I was not expecting to have to share a golf cart with a stranger, I was told I had to or else pay for another cart if I didn't ride with this other person. I sure hope they didn't have covid.
