About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

A Gem
I travel to the gulf 4 to 5 times a year and I play Lost Key every time. The course has a reputation of being very difficult and is often avoided by the casual golfer. This is a mistake, all you need to do is choose your tee box carefully. I would recommend moving up a set of tees and playing a slightly shorter course than you might ordinarily play. If you follow this advice you will enjoy pristine fairways and the best greens on the gulf! Plus, the staff is great from the pro shop to the beverage cart.

Lost Ball
Tight course . Cannot miss fairways or greens. Easy to lose ball if you miss targets. Staff is great course is pretty it’s just not a place to play if you spray at all

Great Course, Friendly Staff
I recommend Lost Key to anyone, my round was very enjoyable. Great rate that includes range balls. The staff had my cart ready and were very welcoming. 10/10.

Great course
Very challenging course with narrow fairways and undulating terrain both on and off the greens. Beautiful layout with great landscaping.

Challenging.....
I'm not a consistent straight hitter. So not knowing the course didn't help. Course was in great shape. Thought greens and fairways were in excellent condition. But I found the tall grass and the water, too many times, lol. Hey that's golf sometimes. Better than setting in a beach chair listening to my wife and sister-in-law. If you hit them kinda straight, you should love his course!

Tough but in great shape
I’m a 2 handicap and this place tore me up from the black tees. Hit it straight at all times! Greens were perfect. Course was in great shape! Bring it extra balls with you as errant shots are penalized big time. Staff was super friendly, helpful and an overall delight. I’m heading back there in 3 days. I played by myself and barely saw a soul and played in under 2 hours.

2019 August Lost Key
Excellent greens, good fairways. Very soft sand. Well manicured. Challenge is keeping the tee shot in play. Stray shot will be lost in the brush - simply can’t find it, don’t even spend time or effort looking for it. For an average player such as me, this is tough, & a good enough reason not to play this course. If the off the fairway areas could be cleaned out some way, it would be super. As it is there is no chance of recovery. But, as they say, you gotta keep it where they mow. Haha.

Excellent greens and friendly staff!
The course is in great condition and the staff is super friendly. Also got a hot deal for a full round for only $25! The course is pretty narrow but if you can keep it in the fairway you will be just fine. Driver is not needed very often if any on this course. Highly recommended! Will play again.

It's nickname is well deserved.
The course is in great shape, including the greens. It is true, however, that if you're not on the fairway, your ball is unlikely to be recovered...hence the nickname: Lost Ball!

A must play golf course
As usual I was pleased playing here today... I recommend this course to any level of golf players. Just bring extra sleeves of balls for those beginners, because you definitely will lose some balls. Even low handicappers lose some balls on this golf course, but it's fun trying to cross the water or trying to cross the high bushes.

Hard course
Course was in great shspe particularly the greens. They were as good as i have ever seen. If you were not in fairway or first cut you were not likely to find your ball. Beautiful clubhouse and full bar and food. Can't miss course.

Clubhouse not Friendly
Clubhouse was less than helpful in trying to get a rain check, wasn’t friendly at all. Would not recommend giving money to jerks.

Hard Course
I would recommend this course when in the area. It is a hard course though. You must hit fairways if not your ball is lost. Great greens and the grass in the fairways are awesome. You feel like your playing a Florida course not a course in the woods which is what I wanted. Maybe the hardest course I’ve ever played
