About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

A little slow
This was the third time I played the course and really liked it other than it seemed the greens were not as fast as previous rounds. Pace of play was also rather slow (5 hours). Fortunately I paired up with an entertaining golfer from Loxley and we used the time solving most of the world's problems.

A great course
Even though it was a very windy day and I did not have my "A" game, I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The layout was very interesting and the greens were fantastic! They even paired me with a regular that knew the course well (thanks Terry!) Already booked another round and hope to use my first round knowledge to knock off a few strokes.

Very nice greens on a tight tract.
First time to this area, so I am not familiar with "winter coditions" here. I would rate fairway conditions now at 3.5 with greens at 4.5 as greens were firm and rolled true. Fairways and high traffic areas needed some TLC. 141 slope rating from the Blue tees is an accurate reflection of the difficulty. Staff was very friendly.

Great vslue
One of the best local courses in the Gulf Shores area, just across the Florida border. Rates are lower than other top courses and it drains real well after rain hits.

Cool course
Played on a chilly breezy day. Restaurant, cart attendee, course maintenance, pro shop employees were very friendly and professional, driving range employee was a little overwhelmed (5 groups all showed up at same time).
We played from the white tee’s, fairway’s were good, greens and bunkers were OUTSTANDING!!!! As a twosome we played in 3 hours 15 minutes. This course was a lot of fun, very playable from the whites I would think a beast from the tips.....can’t wait to play again. Thank you to the Lost Key staff for a great day.

Greens were in great shape. Rest of course in winter conditions. I enjoyed the round and definitely would play again

Lost Balls
My friends call this course Lost Balls because it can be very challenging and they loss a lot of balls. We had a challenging game today but I didn’t lose one ball. The fog was interesting but did not stop play. I would recommend this course. It was fun!

perfect greens but fairways were poor...great layout and golf test. great club house and staff would love to come back when the spring weather brings back thee course condition

Great layout, beautiful natural Florida scenery,
Had a 3 some behind a foursome and still had a 3:15 round. Course was drivable when most in this area are muddy and cart path only this time of year. Condition of course very good and greens especially rolled true with decent speed. Definitely coming back multiple times

Excellent, as usual
We’ve played this course a few times. It’s in great shape as always. Pace of okay today was a bit slow due to one derelict foursome. If the starter ciuld have tracked them coming thru the turn it should have been obvious and worth a visit on the back 9.
