Marcus Pointe Golf Club
About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

Putting on dirt entire back 9, not just due to areation. Greens are GONE!!!!!!!!!
What's course to play!!!!!
We truly enjoyed everything about the course including the friendly and accommodating staff, the challenges of the course and the steady flow of play
We definitely will be back next winter to play
Great day with friends
Beautiful afternoon of golf with friends. Course was in great shape with the exception of a couple of fairways where they have lost grass. Will go back and enjoy this course again!
never again
Very poor condition fairways are bare or just crabgrass.if u like putting on hills then ur like the greens
Fast greens at Marcus Point
I enjoyed the course. Staff and check in excellent.
The course was fun and moderately challenging. The condition was poor. But it is the first week spring.
I will go back in a few weeks
Very pretty peaceful course
friendly staff
Hilly lots of trees
Water does not come into play
Nice place to play
The course was in great shape. Our pace of play was slow, threesome in front would not let us play through. Overall it was a nice day.
Great course!
Wow, this course has made a complete turn around from where it was with its previous ownership. The staff in the pro shop is professional and friendly. The dining staff is actually attentive to the golfers needs, and very friendly, which is completely different from the old dining staff. The maintenance staff seems to put a lot and time and effort into the course. Hopefully we'll see gradual changes this growing season. The cuts are always clean and in great locations. The greens are in great condition. The whole maintenance staff seems to doing a stand up job! I will come back and recommend everyone play this course. The future looks bright!
Course improving under new ownership
Great track in middle of Pensacola. Some tee boxes need tlc but was pleasantly surprised with condition of fairways & greens. Pace of play was great, staff is friendly and food & bets are reasonable. Will definitely return soon.
great layout, fairways suffering, should play there anyway.
i played here a couple of yrs ago and the fairways were much better. played in mid to late february that time. the course has changed ownership. same people who own stonebrook golf course. one of the locals told me that the previous owner quit watering the fairways before selling the course. the greens were iin great shape. this course has an excellent layout , similar to scenic hills country club. check golfnow.com for good green fees. i played for $18 with cart on a hot deal in early afternoon, easily finished all 18 holes before dark. staff is very friendly. i would expect the fairways to improve this growing season.
fun course
well worth the money on golfnow. fairways are thin from the winter but playable. very friendly staff need yardage book hard to judge distance without. played with wife no hurry in front or behind us. well play again very soon
Day at the pointe
Our round would have been much more enjoyable but 2 groups of 5 golfers were two groups ahead of us. This should never happen when the course if busy. The course was in good shape for this time of year.
Very firm and fast fairways and greens
Not being able to see the pin on most holes from the tee boxes make the score sheet very helpful. Very fun the first time.
Pretty but no fairway grass
Expect dry fairways this time of year but these fairways were more bare dirt than dry grass. Not sure if grass fills in other times of year.
Course has nice greens. Speedy greens.
Being winter, the course was a little run down. Most of the fairways were dead. The greens in good speedy conditions. Would play here again.
THE COURSE NEEDS WORK.
4-5 HOLES HAD NO GRASS ON THE FAIRWAYS, I THINK DUE TO FLOODING THEY HAD LAST YEAR. A COUPLE OF PIN LOCATIONS WERE IMPOSSIBLE,IF THE BALL DID NOT GO IN THE HOLE IT WOULD COLLECT @ 15' BELOW THE HOLE. THE BACK WAS IN BETTER SHAPE THAN THE FRONT AND FUN. FOR THE MONEY ($27) IT WAS OK. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL HVE A GOOD YEAR AND GET THE COURSE BACK IN GOOD SHAPE AND WE WILL LOOK FORWARD TO PLAYING IT NEXT YEAR.
Marcus Pointe, 2014
The course is in the best shape it has been in years. The greens have recovered outstandingly and are playing fast and true. The multiple tees allow players of all skill levels to have a fine time. Nearby Iron is a fine restaurant with a players' lounge adjacent.Unfortunately, the course has been losing money for some years now and is scheduled to close on 12/31/14. I hope it is sold to someone who can manage it well.
Poor course
It has been about 6 months since I played it last. I could not believe how bad this course has turned out. The greens were the worst that I have ever played on, there was hardly any grass on them at all. The tee boxes had no grass at all on them. The bunkers had no sand in them and was hard as concrete. You would have to pay me to play this course again and then I probably would not play it.
