The greens were unusually fast even for winter greens

Course was in somewhat good shape. Seen it a lot worse. Greens were extremely fast and fun. Great time even thou it did eat my lunch :)

Nice track great value. We will be back.

enjoyed the course very much. Anytime you can play a nice course in January it is a plus.

We have played this course many times over the years on our trips to Florida. Going back 6-8 years, it was one of the best values in the Pensacola area. However, it had fallen into disrepair in the past couple of years and was in danger of closing. New management now has the course back on track. Always a nice layout, the fairways on this winter round were consistent, with no weeds or large bare spots and the greens were smooth, although running medium-slow. It is easy to see that continued attention by the staff will have the course in great shape in the spring and summer.
Anyone who has been avoiding MP as we had, due to past conditioning problems, should give it another try. We are glad we did and will be going back.

The Staff was very friendly and went the extra mile to make a first time player comfortable. I had a very good time playing this course.

I always enjoy playing Marcus Pointe since Hiram Cook took over . Both Ben Bates and Ben Williams do an excellent job in managing and taking care of the course .

Played 18 holes with a friend & paired up with2 other gentlemen for a very lovely day of golf. The weather was great & the course was in the best condition I've seen it in the past 10 years.

Played this course before the change over for new management and they done a good job in trying to bring this course back but the course is still in real bad shape. Thought the greens were very slow and a lot of them has bare spots. A lot of fire ants are all over the course so you have to be very careful on were you walk. Might have to wait another year before I play this one again.

Great all around course with greens and fairways that are excellent

Lots and lots of grass, just too long. A couple of fairways had lots of weeds.

This is a beautiful course and some tricky tight fairways which brings me to my only complaint. There are many Hills on this course that obscure where your ball comes down. There is NO second cut on the fairway. It goes from short fairway to 5-6 inch tall grass immediately and if you don't know exactly where your ball came down, you won't find it unless you're directly on top of it. Granted I'm a high handicapper but come on, I almost lost several balls that were just off the fairway and DID lose a couple that went further awry. Nice friendly employees though and the snack bar food was quite good.

the weather was very hot .but still had a great time playing this nice course and it is in a very nice neighborhood.

We have been coming to Pensacola for about 28 years and play Marcus multiple times each visit. A little disappointed this time. The greens we in serious need of mowing. There was a first tee tournament going on that we were not told about, so we came to a screeching halt. The did offer a rain check, though. I think they have had a change in ownership and are in transition. The rental fleet needs to be replaced, and they need to up the work on the course. All requires a bunch of money.

This course is in very good condition. Stonebrook management team is doing a excellent job since saving this course around last Christmas time frame. Keep up the good work!

The layout is good, but the conditions are poor. There isn't a blade of real grass on the whole course; everything seems to be a mixture of crab grass and weeds. Some holes I literally couldn't tell where the fairway ended and the rough began. The rough is, well, rough. Be prepared to spend 5 minutes searching for every ball you don't hit in the fairway; they're really tough to find in that mess. Seems like they're working to improve things, but it's not there yet. If you can get in for under $25, it's worth a play.

I have played this course many times and never had a problem. For the price, you're hard pressed to find a better deal in the area.

The layout is fun. Course conditions were lacking due to drought and upkeep. I'm sure it is improving and yes we'll play again. Probably a fall and spring course as weather on the hilly terrain affects upkeep...... Go play and carry lots of water as it's hot and dry out there!

Happy with the course for what we paid. Course needs a little work, but was decent for the most part. I'll be back.

Wonderful layout. The only negative was the greens, but they seem to be on the comeback. Will play again when I am in town.
