Challenging Greens
Nice course. Hard to get in trouble on the way to the green. Once their that is where the biggest challenge is. Got to chip it close. Or you will be three putting.
Great place to play!!!
We weren't sure about playing due to the nasty looking weather we had and were about to have, but what rain we had the night before and in the early morning was pretty much absorbed by the fairways and greens. We didn't find any standing water. It was a bit of fun trying to outthink the 20-30mph wind gusts to strategize the shot placement. Hole #6 was really fun, had wind blowing right to left on tee box and then left to right and towards you from the green, and with a fountain water hazard in front of the green it was amazing I even made the green. Course is in great shape and greens really played true. Downhills were fast and uphills slow. So green shots were very important to ensure you didn't give yourself extra strokes on the scorecard. One of my favorite courses now to play.
Great course
Great course, especially for the price. Well maintained. Got behind a fivesome on 16. That slowed us down the last 3 holes.
Nice course - good value
The course is in great shape, especially given the recent lack of rain (36+days). Greens and fairways are well maintained. I enjoyed the grill, great service good food at a very fair price.
They had a cart service running (on a Tuesday).
Good value
Well worth the money. Nice course.
Above average for a municipal course
Nice layout with a great club house and friendly staff.
Great value
Course is challenging enough to keep your attention. I enjoyed the round. I was by myself and as I caught up with other groups, they happily let me play thru. I would love to play this course in the spring and fall when the grass is green, but right now all grass is in hibernation. I will play it again.
Well laid out for quick play.
Need trash policing around the golf course. Good value for money.
Made hole in one on the second hole.
This course has fast greens andchallenging holes!
I recommend this course for the average player. will play again!
P'cola at its Best
Poorly managed course, lazy staff, attracts oddly irascible players.
In addition I was charged 1.99 already paid for. Not the bargain you might expect since hitting a few range balls is extra and pricey and pencils must be begged.
Nicely run city course.
I enjoyed playing the course. It has a number of interesting holes.
Always a quick round
If you want a quick round at a nice course, play Osceola. The greens are fast and challenging. Course is open, if you slice like me you can still play from an adjacent fairway for another hole. Course isn't pristine but it is always in great condition.
ocseola
great city owned course. very open and forgiving for players with higher handicaps. greens are as good as any course in the area. great value if booked on golf now otherwise its priced about the same as other area courses
Good value
Some of the best greens around the area.I was surprised of thr condition of a public course.
Well maintained
Greens and fairways are excellent. Only a few areas in the rough with bare spots. Finished in less than 3 hours.
Expected more from Florida
Expected much better from Florida. Wasn't the best course for the money. I've paid less money at other course that were in much better shape. The plus side is they just punched the greens but the greens were still smooth and not bumpy at all. The pros : Fairways were in pretty good shape, nice friendly staff. The cons: no clear cut cart path, Restaurant closes before 5,most tee boxes were like hitting out of the bunker it was so sandy. But the overall course wasn't worth the Golf Now rate of $26 and sure not worth the course price of near $40. Maybe, Hopefully they are just renovating the course.
This is a fair course
This course is not on my good list. We arrived on time and were told that they had a tournament going and they would have to work us in as they could. We played one hole when the rain started. We waited for an hour until the rain subsided some what and then played 9 holes mainly because they don't give rain checks. I probably won't try again. Barnie Guest
enjoyable experience
Good all around course. Wide open, very forgiving. Just need more ice cool water location.
Great course for the money
This is the best golf deal in town. The course is well maintained, the practice area is very good with good balls for the driving range, and the staff is friendly and accomodating.
