Really Enjoyed Course
We played 18 holes in about 3 hours. The course is in great shape. Staff was friendly. Price was very fair. I will be going back out soon.
Tight Course
I had heard from a fellow golfer a couple days prior that the greens had been recently replaced and were in really nice shape. That was true, but the fairways were even nicer. My first time playing at the course, I found that many of the holes were packed in tightly. This wasn't a bother to me, but some may find it a bit claustrophobic.
This course has challenging greens
The course is great and staff is friendly, but the pace of play is very slow on the weekends.
Good introductory course for beginners
Staff was ultra friendly and course was in good shape for a municipal course. Couple of fivesomes out that slowed play. There was also a First Tee event there that morning which was great to see.
Great course for retired seniors!!
My wife and I enjoy everything about the Osceola Golf Course:
* fewer hazards than most courses
* wide fairways
* friendly staff
* beverage lady available on course
* reasonably priced
* lunch, snacks, and drinks at the clubhouse
* Excellent Pro instructor
* putting & chipping greens
* driving range
Greens are in great shape.
Greens are in great shape. Not much water to worry about.
Nice Course, Well Kept, Solid Rates
I played this course back in early May 2013 and the greens were in rough shape. A month and a half later, in late June, the greens were much better. They were actually pretty fast this time! Most fairways are in very good shape. Very open course - good for the player who isn't the most accurate ever (like me!).
Attendant in the clubhouse was very cordial. However, both times we were there the girl tending the bar acted like we were interrupting her day, even though there was no one else in the place. She needs some happy pills or another job.
Overall, a very good experience. Will definitely go back.
Pretty easy layout.Little water in play. Shop attendant less than helpful. Very non caring.
Course in good shape for a city owned course. Greens rolled well, not bumpy.
I like the changes that were made
I would've rated it higher if I didn't need a core drill to insert my tee in some of the tee boxes.
The driving range is vastly better than the previous one.
If they remove some of the rocks in the tee boxes and make inserting your tee easier, it could be nice to play.
Great shape....but fuzzy greens
Tee to green, the course is in great shape. The greens are challenging, but were in need of some trimming. clubhouse and food were great and the price was fantastic ($25 for 18 included cart).
A good municipal course.
The greens had just been aerated so hard to tell what they are really like but they had many breaks to make the putting interesting. Greens were small so a good challenge. Surprisingly there are blind shots from the tee and from the fairways on some holes. Overall a good value for the average golfer.
Fine for a muni during the week
It is what it is...muni....and can be fun.... not fast.... close fairways....of course loose golf swings can hit you.....fun though
Played one other time in Jan 2013......weekend and nearly five hours....
"NICE GREENS, NICE PEOPLE, FAIR PRICE" ...Walker's Dream !
This Course has alot of character, it's not a Links Course, the fairways are seperated by enough Mature Trees that it is best to keep the ball in the " SHORT grass" ! The Greens are in "good shape" which makes the day Fun with enough Challenge for Advanced Player's to keep their (A) game sharp. Nice White sandy Bunkers around alot of the greens are a "Plus". Nice Facilities ( driving range, club house, pro shop, etc.). "This is definetly a Desirable Course for WALKER'S " , with only mild elevation changes, the pace of play is not at ALL Bad !
Best value in area
Easy course. Only one hole with water in play. Good for beginners, but still challenging enough for all skill levels. Great driving range and practice area. It can be crowded because of the low greens fees.
I really like this course
This course is well maintained and moderate difficulty. I enjoy the scenery and some of the wildlife.
Quiet at this time of year, which is good
Dear Sirs,
I booked a round of golf at Osceola Municipal Golf Course through your site today. Conformation number 13803591.
Firstly in the Clubhouse we were met with a "I thought we had stopped this offer" Secondly he tried to say that a cart was not included and last but not least he tried to say that it was a walking price we had paid.
Perhaps you could liaise with this particular course and inform them exactly what happens when we book a round of golf through Golfnow.com as they seem misinformed as to your fantastic site and offers.
Regards,
Mr D. McArthur.
Target Golf at it's best
Lots of tight fairways. If you don't hit the green solid, you're rolling off the edges. Not a dogleg course, but ups and downs (and hidden flags because of it) abound.
The greens were fast and enjoyed the course.
I would recommend this course and will definitely return to play.
