About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Great course need attention to some fairways but otherwise good shape. Should reduce prices for seniors. Also military.

Outing
The course was in pretty good shape for this time of year. A few of the fairways had some bare spots, overall, not that bad. The greens were in good shape for winter conditions. Overall, the course played well for December.

Poor supervision
Players out front were allowed to just take their time with no Marshall in site. This held up many groups after the group outing was started....Should have been made to move on and not hold up the entire field.This has been a problem with Crystal Lake for a long time. My group one day took six hours to play 14 holes.
That issue has to be solved...

Crystal Lake is BACK!
My group plays Crystal Lake several times a year. Today we played for the 1st time since the new greens were installed (I believe they're Bermuda). We will DEFINITELY be back very soon!!!! The course is in the best shape I've seen it in 5+ years.

Pace of play is unbearable
The last two times I have played this course, I had to leave after hole 13 because I had already hit 4 1/2 hours. I love golf as much as the next person, but I do not want to play a six hour round. Crystal Lake does absolutely nothing to keep the pace of play moving and it is always like this every single weekend. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. There won't be a third time until I start reading reviews that things have changed.
