About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Great course in great condition (September 2023.) Only thing to note is that you won’t be near the clubhouse when you make the turn. Doesn’t affect my experience or the 5 star review. Just something to note and be aware of..

Good Practice facility Fairways and Greens were in superb shape. Also liked the Golf Club repairs and pro shop and, their expedient repairs and, grip replacement. Personal attentiveness, 4stars outta Five!

Love this coarse. Greens are in great shape. A little frustrating with golf carts shutting down without much notice then telling us to stay off new sod in certain places which is not obvious because all grass we saw is grown in and not noticeable. We couldn’t figure it out unless carts aren’t updated?

Best Bang for your Buck in Atlanta area
I’ve played a lot of public golf courses in the Atlanta area and this one is consistently one of, if not the best ones. If you don’t mind making the longish drive south of Atlanta (if you live in the city) you won’t be disappointed. You can typically find a weekend tee time from $40-$60. The golf course is always in good to great shape and the layout has a lot of character. There’s not any one hole that resembles the other. Amenities are average and No. 9 does not come back to the clubhouse, so make sure you have drinks/snacks with you to begin your round. DO NOT walk this course unless you’re ready to burn 10000 calories. Best bang for your buck in the area.

Good fun course for the hot time price
Stopped through on my way to Alabama and really enjoyed the course. It was tough but in good condition. Definitely worth checking out, especially with the hot time price

Legit
Course conditions were excellent, greens rolled true, but not ridiculously fast (but need only be cut to get near-tournament fast). Generally receptive greens (wet day though, we got drenched in the end), and pls as long as you want to play. Lots of room, like a resort course, nothing wildly penalizing, great views within a great neighborhood. Houses are spaced well apart, and we’ll back from fairways, so it’s hard to hit a house, unlike a lot of other courses where houses are just past the cart path, and crowded together.
All in all, one of the nicer courses in ATL area. There are a few roots under the path, but basically top notch course. Restaurant and bar are nice too…Range was good, practice green was nice and representative of putts on the course (so not just a flat practice green, but w/ contour instead). Will definitely be back, even at non-Hot-Deal prices…and if you get a Hot Deal, it’s a real steal…makes the drive totally worth it.

Enjoyed my time at Crystal lake. First time playing and will return. Played during a weekday afternoon without much of a crowd. Not sure how it is on the weekend, I assume much busier. Makes sense it would be busier bc it’s a well maintained and fun track. Looking forward to visiting again.

Very nice course
I play here often. Course is in fine shape. Greens roll great, nice fairways, etc. Played mid week in the afternoon, not crowded (but it was 96 degrees). For those that have not played here, try to play with someone who knows the course. Local knowledge really helps on several holes. Also, only saw the beverage cart once the entire 18 holes which is brutal in the heat. Just FYI...this course does not make a turn at the clubhouse so make sure to have plenty to drink in this heat. They do have water on several holes which was a life saver.
