About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Great course
This is a very well maintained course. It is not very forgiving so be sure to play smart. The greens were great. Fun course overall.

Great Layout. Great condition. Very fun.
The pros: The course design was great. It was a fair challenge for an amateur but not so difficult it wasn’t fun. The course was in great condition. The greens were quick but playable. The fairways and tees were in great shape. The faculties were extremely nice. My tee time was at 8 AM on a Sunday and we never saw another group in front of us. We could barely see a group behind us.
The cons: I wish the practice facilities were more extensive. From what I could see, there was only a driving range and putting green. Both were high quality but I would’ve liked to see some practice bunkers and pitching/chilling green. Also, hole 9 does not bring you back to the clubhouse. You play 18 holes straight through. We saw the snack cart once during the round which helped. Next time I will be able to better plan my round.
Overall Crystal Lake is my favorite course in the ATL area I have played. It’s one of my favorite courses I’ve ever played in this price range. I hope to play many more rounds there!

Conditions dteriorating; Average Experience
Management had notes posted on the front door and inside the clubhouse in reference the use of carts. The note stated that there will be an additional charge for not sharing a cart; strange policy at THIS TIME.
They have a plexiglass type plastic divider between the driver and the passenger. Looked tacky and confining.
Poor management decision.
Do not greet your patrons with repulsive signage.

Totally Majestic!
From the Pro shop, to the starter, to the food cart young lady, and most important, the majestic course in between, I found this course challenging and serene. Just what I needed to get a beak from Miami. My first time ever playing it, but it has made my list of favorites!

Very good course
Greens were a little slower than normal, but I think that was from recent aeration. If it was closer to me, I would play it more often.

The course was in good condition. A few spots needing some attention on the edges of the greens and in the fairways, but overall good. I would play it again.

Challenging course; good change of pace if willing to travel
As I live on the north side of town, I had to travel a fair distance to get here, For those looking to add some new variety to their usual rota of courses, I'd recommend this course. It is a challenging and interesting layout with plenty of distance (>7,200 yards) from the back tees. I've given the conditions 3 stars, but I think 3.5 stars would be more fair. The greens were soft and slow, but we're in the heat of the summer and for less than $50, I didn't feel cheated. it was not crowded on Sunday afternoon, so pace of play was swift and etiquette appropriate. Playing by myself, I had a two-ball let me through on 10 and ceded ground myself to another single who was playing so fast I couldn't keep up.
To be clear, if I lived closer, i would be a regular visitor to this course. As it is, I will be back at some point.

Good course for all types of golfers
Currently a 10 working to get lower, this course helps. Layout doesn’t go back to clubhouse which kinda sucks. We went back after nine and nobody cared. Then saw a cart girl at 12, I would go back and I would bring friends.
