Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Decent day

If you plan on playing this course Tuesday or Thursday, might want you to schedule your tee time for around 10 am. They have a senior group that plays around 9/930 and unfortunately the tee times were not blocked to allow for them to play through. It was annoying to have to stand there and have multiple groups “cut in line” because of a mistake made by the proshop. It was frustrating to be delayed 30 min.

Slow play

Played on a Saturday, teed off at 3:40, walked off 18th green at 8:30. There wasn’t a Marshall on duty and the group in front of us was a five-some. The course layout is really fun and challenging; the pace of play and sub-par course conditions (no sand in bunkers), really make it difficult to enjoy. Definitely worth playing during the week, or whenever the tee sheet isn’t packed. The golf shop staff wasn’t any help with the pace of play issue, I had to call three times to get someone on the phone. The gentleman assured me he’d come out to the course and resolve the issue. Never saw the guy, and the pace never changed. Overall, I wouldn’t spend more than $20 for a tee time here on any given day.

This course is in bad shape

This used to be a very nice course; no sand in bunkers...pace of play terrible. This is not a 4 star course. Who is providing these rankings? The owners? No grass in fairways. The driving range was closed. It’s worth $20 no more. Spend some money on the course please. $4 per foot to fix the bunkers. Fertilizer in fairways please.

Course played Difficult, Looked Amazing!

The course was absolutely beautiful! The tee boxes were nicely mown and you couldn’t even find any broken tees on the tee boxes! That’s rare. Playing from the blue tees the course presented a decent challenge and it was well worth it! Thanks GolfNow and crystal lake for the opportunity!
