Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Love playing this course
The fairways and greens were in great shape. Weather was great until the storm moved in. Nothing but vibes each time I've played here

Nice weekday round
Booked last minute as a single. Was expecting to be paired with a group, but there was no starter and no one on the tee so off I went. Pace was great. Course was in generally good shape. Some fairways/rough had many bare patches (some sort of fungus?) but did not affect quality of play. Greens were a bit slower than others in the area, but rolled well.
For my first time there, the layout was a bit confusing (4-7 are not where you'd expect them to be) and a few of the holes could use better pictures on the scorecard (hard to tell there's a hazard within driving distance on 18)
FYI, I'm not sure if this course even allows walking, but this would be a tough course to walk given the distances between holes through residential neighborhoods.

Well kept secret in Hampton GA
Crystal Lake is a course I will plan to come back to play. Liked the layout and the various course lengths due to six different tees. A couple of very challenging holes mixed throughout the course. Pace of play was great. played 18 in just under 4 hrs. Greens & tee boxes were in good condition.

Restrooms
My wife and I love the course, however she does not enjoy using the Port a potties. Also it seems the course could afford at least l ball washer.

A long drive worth the effort
I live on the North side of Atlanta and had heard for years how great this course was. I got the first tee time of the day (which I love) and played a great round at my own fast pace. The course was in great shape and the greens, although not super fast, rolled true on every putt. The weather was drizzly and overcast but no real rain. Would highly recommend to anyone in the atlanta area looking for a great course to play.
Only negative was that the marking of directions to next holes in 2 places was very confusing and I ended up playing the wrong hole twice and had to circle back (thanks to the course workers for letting me know). The transition from 4 to 5 is not marked and I played 8 then on the back nine the the drive from 11 to 12 again not marked and I played 14 out of order.

great layout, great shape
Played CL with a friend from out of town. He was really impressed with the course and the value. A little bit of a drive, but well worth it. We enjoyed the round and will be back.

A great layout, the course was in great condition. This is one that I will be back to. Would recommend to any level of golfer, it has it all. Water, sand, elevation changes.

Great course
We played this course many times. Everytime we enjoyed a lot. Great layout and a good pace of playtime. And I made my first hole in one at hole 15th. I love this course !!!

The greens were very average!!!
According to the pro shop the greens were aerated 6 weeks ago..Lack of rain has slowed the healing process.. Well it's been raining almost every week in Georgia..New Owners get your act together, because I love your course.. But not in this greens condition..!

Great course 18th hole fair
The course it self is really setup nicely the greens looked like they had recently been air rated (played 3-30-16) so I can't wait to go back in a couple weeks. Loved it.

I love the use of mounds on this course
You can tell it was designed to be private and had to open to the public. There are several holes where the construction of houses has halted and made the landscape barren. But as they begin building again, this course should feel more complete. As for the course itself, the greens are immaculate and the teeing ground is flawless. Really top notch condition. The carts are slow, but function well. The staff acted like I was a leper for using the golf app. I've seen this more and more as the app gets more popular. Little do they know I wouldn't be buying as much food etc. if I paid the regular 50$. But, other than snobbery, this was a really fun 3 hours on the golf course. I will jump on it anytime I see it on golfnow.

Apparently CL did not notify Golfnow that they just Areated the greens like the day before I played or else I would not have played.... tis Suxed..someone needs to do a better job of this..paid full amount..

Great course
Ive played here many times. Generally always in good-very good shape. But awesome value for money. Greens today were in very good shape for time of year. Course in good shape. If I lived closer I'd play here all the time.
