Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club

I didn't get the feeling that we were wanted on the course or property. The pro shop cashier was not the most friendliest person, he literally threw my credit card back at me and my other player. I looked at him but he would not give any eye contact. Is this the accepted practice in Georgia or just here. I inches away from you and you throw my credit card at me while trying to put in on the counter. why not just hand it back to me just like I gave it to you. I was tempted to leave but the weather was just to nice.

Course was in excellent shape and greens were fast

I like the true roll the greens had. They were in excellent condition.

Course was in very good shape. Greens were fast. Undulating fairways and rolling hills. Only complaint is that the course does not offer GPS in carts and was not available in GolfShot. With a lot of blind shots, GPS availability would be of benefit for this course.

I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Crystal Lake. The day I played the course wasn't crowded, making it perfect for a single. Course conditions was superb, both greens and fairways. At $25, the price was certainly right. I don't play the course often and thought it could use a couple of additional signs to indicate directions to the next hole. Aside from that, it was great.

Heard about Crystal Lake from some friends and decided to try it and glad I did - great golf course in great shape. Would highly recommend it - only slight issue is make sure you pay attention on the front nine as it is easy to get lost and play the wrong hole. I will be back - really liked this golf course

My club was hosting some event, could be get tee time, so I choose Crystal Lake. Driving range condition was not so great, but course is in good shape. I see many smaller party than 4 somes, it make great pace of play.

Also, I recommend to have fish taco at restaurant, it was crispy and spicy flavored was very good.

Wide fareways easy driving. Green areas very demanding. Excellent conditioning. A lot of difficult approach shots.

The fairways and greens were in superb shape. Would put the value of this weekend round up against any other in the Greater Atlanta Area.

Too bad that the clubhouse is not between 9 and 10 as there is very little water on the course. The clubhouse does not allow private coolers and there was only one cart girl. Bad combination as we about died of thirst. Other than that it was a great time.

With weather the way it was, the course was very playable even with the recent rains.

I recommend this course to everyone. However, you much stay in the fairway. The rough can be challenging. I found it to be a fun course if you are not one of those golfer that think you should be on the PGA and you should probably not be playing golf at all.

I was really surprised how well the course had drained considering it had been raining for 4 straight days. I only encountered two small spots that were sloppy with water. The greens were very slow.

This course does not pass the clubhouse at the turn therefore more beverage cart rounds should be implemented throughout the day.

Rough is very high. Stay in the fairway. Keep you eye on the ball. Good challenge.

Course is in the best shape I've seen it over the past couple of years. Greens recently aerated but rolled pretty true. The rough is set up championship style and will give you fits. Presents a nice challenge.

Crystal Lake is one of my favorite tracks. The course Has fallen off but time in my humble opinion. Crabgrass in the fairways. Course conditions left a lot to be desired. Waited behind a slow 2 some all day somebody called the pro-shop behind us to complain about the pace. Guess what happens next. The dude drives past the slow group and us to talk to the caller. Then proceeds to come back our way to tell us to pick up the pace as we wait on the tee box behind the group that is holding up the entire course. But he doesn't go speak to them because he knows them. You need to train your staff to talk to the slow players no matter who they are.

One true complaint I will make is their membership. It literally makes no sense. Pay $200 a month and play for free. Basically it would take me playing 10 times a month to come close to breaking even. The one membership more my speed is $100 a month. Not bad right? Except I have to pay $20 every time I play....I pay $25 on golf now regularly. Again I would have to play quite a bit to break even. I wish they would tempt me with a $15 fee, or $10 for the $100 a month. I would jump all over it. Cannon Gate is $130 and green fees and cart are like $15. I would completely get a membership if their rates were comparable. I just see no point in giving them a $100 AND then pay them $20 ($5 less than Golfnow) to play the course. I could skip the $100 and just book a $25 round, pay the extra $5 and play when I want. Hoping they get a more reasonable fee on the $100 a month so I can join and see the benefit. My last round I got stuck behind a very rude foursome. Not the courses fault. 4 guys in 5 carts never waived me through. I skipped hole 8 after they hit off the tee box and ALL FOUR of them looked for a lost ball in weeds 75 yards off the tee box. They saw me waiting...a single. Never once did they tell me to go ahead while their entire foursome looked for a ball. No they continued to look for 10 minutes. I finally skipped the hole and never could make it back. Again not the courses fault, just feels good to get it off my chest. Otherwise, it's my favorite new course because it's close to my house.

The Course is in great condition, the green was excellent.

A shame that this once outstanding place has fallen into general disrepair. I realize the aerated greens made a bit of difference, but they had not been mowed or tended to in what looked like 3-4 days. All of the attention to details that I used to love about playing there have sadly gone away.

The price of $26 reflects what you will be getting when you get there, and I'm not sure it was worth $26.

I hope they find their way back to the place they were when it first opened, I felt like I was stealing from them at $65 a few years ago.

The course was great, green was fast & fairways was very nice.
