Another different Course!
I enjoy playing a variety of courses and had not been to Port Charlotte before. The staff was very friendly and treated us with respect. Course was packed for our 1:50 tee off. Pace was a little slow but picked up a little. Greens and around the greens was in great shape. The fairways were a little sparse but playable. The 4 foursome in front only went 9, but to our surprise a twosome jumped in at the turn. This still intrigues me why this happens. Overall good course for the money and I will play again.

Poor conditions and slow pace
The fairways are more like waste areas. We need nearly 5 hours für 18 holes because of 2 very slow four-soumes in front of us. The staff is very friendly but the course is not worth the little money they take compared to other courses in the area. I will definitley never come back to this course.

Getting better
The course is not country club conditions but it’s getting better due to improvements. It’s also priced fairly, friendly staff and pace of play was great!
Old course in poor conditions
This course is old, weed ridden and bare turf everywhere.
It doesn't look like they are doing anything to help this course and they are charging outrageous rates. T-boxes are sandy little to no grass or weeds, fairways are bare dirt in a lot of places, greens are infested with weeds. This is in poor conditions and they have chosen to fix the cart paths.
Sorry, but I think you can take your money somewhere else and get a much better experience.

The staff was awesome, very helpful and friendly.
Pace of play was a bit slow .
Was informed it is under new ownership and they are working on bringing the.course back..
Greens were slow but in decent shape, can tell they are working on the tee boxes.
I think with time this will be a very nice place to play. Layout is open and player friendly.
I will play again.

Poor course conditions
Was disappointed in the condition of the course?Fairways were almost bare, sand everywhere and almost half an hour late teeing off. .

Fun course to play. Greens were nice but slow. Very friendly staff. We enjoy playing here
Friendly Staff
First time players. We were paired with a couple of gentlemen who knew the course which was helpful. Course a little rough but not unexpected near winter's end. Affordable and enjoyable afternoon
Same Old Same Old
My wife and I have played PCGC a number of times this winter. Condition is a little rough, pace of play later in the day can be slow, but the staff is friendly, carts are nice and value is good. I would recommend especially if you are not too picky. Seriously we will be back.

In Progress A shame
Layout of course is very good. Suffers from years of neglect. Will take at least 18 months to 2 years to get back in shape. Fairways are all brown and sandy. A shame See you in a year or so.

Long holes but wide open , less water hazards and well bunkered. Some try patches . Most of the greens fast,
Played late in the day. So some greens wound up being slow. Excellent driving range.
Course layout is good. Affordable and good value. However course conditions need improvement especially the greens.
