Afternoon play Caution
A nice executive Course maybe too many pat 3 but they are challenging You have to be careful in Afternoon play and get caught up on a league play ahead of you but moved faster on the Second 9. Overall a fair Price at this time of year.
Too crowded
In the past we found King 's Gate to be good value
But, yesterday we arrived at the 5th hole to find 4 groups waiting to play - ridiculous! Because of past positive experiences, we will give it another chance.
Great Executive course!
Thoroughly enjoyed playing the course and will definitely come back. Great executive length.
Pace of play
We were paired up with another couple (very nice people!) Pace of play was fine for the front 9. Made the turn right away, & on the T-box on # 10 we’re not one but 2 fivesomes. They didn’t let us play through! The other couple left at the point. We stuck it out but at least 5 other groups behind us were held up. Where was the ranger? Went to share our experience with the person in the club house it was locked. We will not be back at this course again.
Short executive course not mentioned
I blame myself for not realizing that this was a 2900 yard short executive course. Four par 4’s and 12 par 3’s. One of the par fours was 160 years long…straight away.
This is not clear enough by golf now.
Pace of play on front was 2 1/2 hours for 1300 yards. Beware. One hole had 4 groups on it. Members said it like that every day. The back side opened up and we played in 1 1/2 hours.
Playing 1300 years in 2 1/2 hours is painful.
Never have I seen such a slow playing. At one time there were five groups on one hole waiting. We could only play 12 holes in 4:15 hours. Could not finish
